I used to work for Frontier. It's nice to know people who support our home town airline but I still will fly both airlines. People just need to understand that things happen. Southwest has been around 40 years and Aircraft is VERY expensive. For the most part their safety record it's pretty damn good. Of course people will get upset and become concerned. However, Southwest did inspect their aircraft and hasn't had a problem since. Let's try and move on. Don't like? Don't fly em.
@likeme8686 "hasn't had a problem since", yeah except for a SECOND HOLE blowing out in another one of Southwest's planes a few days ago and cracks found in 3 other Southwest 737s, causing hundreds of flights canceled. I think they should spend less of their money buying out other airlines and use it towards better maintenance of their old planes....
@likeme8686 Good "safety" record, yeah I guess you could say that because they've been extremely lucky. But it's just a matter of time before one of those holes causes the plane to crash, it has happened before on DC-10s. So just wait, I'm sure one of those cracks is going to turn into yet another hole, which rips an even bigger part of the fuselage off, killing passengers. Then I'd like to hear from those defending Southwest and their shitty planes.
@Erich64x2 Since it's a small plane, it probably went to a destination that Southwest doesn't fly to. Frontier flies to way more destinations than Southwest (and has better service).
@Erich64x2 Remember how Southwest got in trouble for having really old planes and not maintaining them well? Frontier is known for having new planes and maintaining them really well. I'm not as concerned about the whole financial thing as I am about safety. I don't trust companies that worry more about making money than maintaining their OLD planes....
@Erich64x2 Oh, and the best part? Frontier has the little TV's where you can watch DirecTV and movies. Does Southwest have that? Last time I checked...no. So again, another way Southwest is cheap. And the funny this is, the times when I've compared prices, Frontier comes out costing less. Let's see, fly an airline that doesn't have on board entertainment and has old, unmaintained planes OR probably pay less and fly an airline with on board entertainment with newer, better maintained planes.
@Erich64x2 Ok, first of all no one says "noobs" anymore (well, except you apparently). And second, I'm sorry but I'd rather go with an airline that doesn't have holes in their plane (and numerous cracks found in the inspection of all the 737s in Southwest's fleet). Yeah, Frontier may have had financial trouble, but at least they've never been fined for having old, badly maintained planes.
Bottom line, to everyone reading this, if you want to go with a SAFE airline, go with FRONTIER.
It's kinda funny when he says "the people are going to walk onto those stairs over there", meanwhile there is a yellow line path leading right from the aircraft door directly into the terminal...
haha ok buddy.. Well not everyones an expert. You probably dont know as much as some of us but whatever, doesnt effect anyone. You and your funny commentary:P:P
haha it is quite funny listening to people who know absolutely nothing about flying or airplanes talk to about them. It is painful to listen to sometimes:P
suure u do. I know lot's, I actually fly, and I fly on my with payware etc. I also fly on VATSIM. I actually know how to fly ht e Q400 series. So tell me what do you know?? You know I really like the Q400 because of how advanced it is. You know I love flying with FMC's and what noit. But I can easily still love flying on VOR radials etc. To much for you normies to undertand:P
I play flight simulator. I know whats inside the cockpit. The throttle is used to make the plane move. The flaps are used to make the plane go down more and go up more. The nose is used for landing.
BTW that is not the real purpose of flaps. Well in some ways yes but they are used for that at lower speeds. Now you know more yay. If you ever want to know anything, or have questions just ask:)

@xsarah791x LOL good one. I guess that explains why Frontier has been in the ICU 3 times, and ultimately bought out by Republic. What a joke.

@Erich64x2 Why don't you search "Southwest fuselage hole" before you start defending Southwest.

Those Dash 8s are cramped inside and they make us stay in there for an hour and 30 minutes. It sux when ur taller than 6'0" or above.
and Q400s are loud, i have no idea why they call it Q400.
