  • is bass clarinet as easy as reg clarinet or just as hard as sax???

  • @squidward733 Since when is sax hard? Bass Clarinet takes a lot of warm air in order to get any real tone. And regular clarinet has harder/higher music typically but that's b/c it registers easier. Anyone who plays B.Cl. is quite talented...

  • @squidward733 It is exactly like a regular clarinet.

  • 1:16

    (sigh) LOL

  • Potremmo sapere che strumento e materiali usa?

Should we know what instrument and what materials he uses?

  • @BuckinTucker 67 :)

  • I'm sorry but i cannot agree with that comment venskus. Personally, I feel like every person is different, therefore different set-ups are needed, especially on the bass clarinet. I do think that Selmer low C's have a beautiful tone, especially in the upper register, but they don't have the power in the lower extension of the horn because of the missing hole in the bell that Buffet bass clarinets have. All in all, I just think it depends on the player. I couldn't get the sound I wanted on one.

  • @BassClariWha yes. i was ignorant then. i would agree that everyone needs an instrument tha is best for them. i would agree with what you said about them, except the opposite. i think the buffet has a more beautiful upper, register, but the selmer has a more resonant, and powerful lower regiter. just proves even mor that everyone plays differently and gets different results on different instruments.

    thank you.

  • OMG! He has my horn! Or not my horn, but the same horn I have!

  • Baddadoope baddaboope babadda babadda bibabadda babadda

  • *translations

  • we need to make these in English or at least have stranslations for them :/

  • This guy has a good sound but in the Strauss he's dropping beats all over the place! Playing through rests and not holding long notes for their full value. Someone needs to give these videos a complete listen before they're posted as educational material.

  • @MsMashedpotatos Perhaps someone more qualified should pick apart his playing right. I totally understand what you're saying. Belonging to the London Symphony Orchestra certainly isn't qualification enough to be giving a youtube masterclass.

  • @MsMashedpotatos Hmmm, who should I trust on this? The bass clarinetist from the London Symphony Orchestra or "MsMashedpotatos"?

  • @asdfqwe123 Gottem!

  • I wish I could understand what he is saying. I don't speak or understand Italian. However, the sound is absolutely wonderful! The tonality is superb - so rich & full, yet delicate. The true sound of a bass clarinet.

  • i HATE airy tone. therefore i dont like this guy lol

  • @venskus2009 are you kidding? only some of the best bass clarinet sound around

  • @buckspan13 i agree his tone is great. when he plays quietly a little air goes through.

  • i don't see the ravel piece in the thingggy.

  • Hi Lorenzo - Wow London Symphony Orchestra - wow - please ask your Dirigent / Conductor in London to see to my YOUTUBE SYMPHONY 2011 PART THREE , . . .3/5 -c- That part I could not 'audit' because 2 is the maximum and it would sound so wonderful played by a big and good orchestra. - It's in my channel Ankhaton , . . you see it right under the 20 first songs Thanks in Advance It can be easily adapted for Bass Clarinet
  • I love his jacket.
