Back in the day (mid eighties), there were lots of GIBS (girls in black). Looking back on it I think they were proto goths.
GIBS got changed to WIBS as "girls" is politically incorrect.
I felt there were a lot of artistic poseurs. In my department (D/T) I felt only 2 out of 10 had any real talent to make it in NYC.
