  • What is astonishing about this video are three things. The individuality of Budgie for one. As well, the detached brilliance of McGeough. And most importantly, the crowd...! Siouxsie is Siouxsie of course and Severin plays the role but, WOW, after all these years to see this video shows how dominant the extras were. I am a bigger fan now...

  • 'my chest was full of eels', I think someone in the Banshees loved ALIEN..

  • Gli anni della vera musica, adesso siamo agli sgoccioli,

  • I was 18

  • This band had it all. Greatest most unique band with the most unorthodox tribal drummer, a guitar player that came from another universe, a bass player that played a different rhythm but it worked. And at her voice. They were genius. Has to be up in the top 5 of the greatest bands.

  • Back in my time they called this New Wave. I still love Siouxi and Robbert Smith as one of the best musicians!

    Love Rana

  • John McGeoch...the LEGEND lives on

  • Proper gothic, from back in the day!

  • Excellent performance.

  • For all you kids, I got to see them in concert... from the other side of a SPEAKER! hahahaahh. Yes I bought the ticket even though it said there was an obstructed view. I think they were sold out at the time. Then life took over and concerts became far and few between... Feel better now?

  • A Kiss in the Dreamhouse is the best album ever. Besides Juju. Best band ever. Unfortunately I was only in second grade when they reunited for a tour. Sigh. That's life.

  • @ohhisam3

YES! A Kiss in the Dreamhouse. and JuJu. but don't forget Kaleidoscope!!!

  • I REALLY wish I could have seen them live, but I wasn't accidentally given to this world until the year the band split up. (1996, but I'm still 13) Too bad the other Freshmans won't bother with Siouxsie since she is "too weird". Ah well, I guess I'll give them "less weird" musicians such as wonderful Bjork (boring ain't she? heh) Siouxsie rocks my vulva!

  • the chick on that dudes shoulder is freaking beautiful.

  • 19 Luglio 1982, Parco delle basiliche, Milano

  • this video has the RAI logo on it (italian channel) I assume it was recorded during the only concert the banshees did in italy in 1982, in Milan

  • wow.. This IS the best live performance iv`e heared from cascade.

  • I agree. Great performance.

  • gramereaper i have to agree JOHN WAS the fucking VOICE THE NOISE THE TALEN THE NEW IDEA RIP JOHN SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES Fan FOREVER

  • You're terribly precocious for a 3 yr old. just goes to show how clever Banshees fans are.

  • very influencial and inovative band ... no wonder 14 year year olds with some music sense can appreciate them

  • Excellent trip Sioux, sounded like Severin had some warblin going on. Supa trippy

  • adoro a eza tipa

  • Every good band needs a decent guitarist. Luckily for them the Banshees had one of the best in John McGeoch (RIP).

  • McGeoch was a total genius. Made the Banshees into what they were, plus Magazine and PiL. Why did he leave the banshees? They never reached the same heights without him.

  • Siouxe Severin and Budgie do the job amzingly well that it matters not who the guitarist is.

    Great great song. great songsmiths

  • The bassist is the BEST!!! He plays that thing like a guitar!!

  • rushkagon. How can you say that? McGeoch made this Banshees era. Yes, they've had many guitarists, but McGeoch was the best, followed by Carruthers. On the other hand, Jon Klein...

  • @rushkagon The guitartist is genius John McGeough...he is no longer with us RIP. Be careful what you say please....a bit ignorant. LoveUGodBless, T and J KABBALAH MATTHEWSHEPARD MADONNALICIOUS

  • @KabbalahWestCoast

You're missing the point here. S,S &B are the core of the band as songwriters and form the nucleus of their unique sound.

Yes McGeoch was cool, but so was Robert Smith and the others who all helped them on their various stages of development.

Don't call me ignorant. I saw them here in England in 1981 when i was 15!

  • One of the first Siouxsie songs I learned to play. Freaking awesome to this day....

  • 8 Months since the last comment?

    wth is up with that?

  • the fucking bass is amazing! i heart Siouxsie!!

  • la solita grande qualità dell'immagine da parte della rai.

  • It's so fucking annoying on youtube when video doesn't synch with sound. This is amazing though. Saw Siouxsie in London - a unique woman.

  • Yeah, would loved to had seen them live. My dad did but i didn't cause i am only 14 unfortunately

  • Don't worry. I'm 14 too! Sioxie kicks ass!:D

  • Don't she just, not too bad in her days either lol

nought like a bit of early goth

  • I'm 14 too lol

  • I'm 14 aswell! If only there were more people our age with an appreciation for the amazing Banshees

  • @izzyfemmebot I was 18 in 82' and siouxsie and the banshees is STILL one of my favorite band especially with Mc Geoch

  • I got into this group around 1986 or 87 and had a lot of catching up to do. Budgie, at the time, influenced my drumming style quite a bit with Kalaidescope and Tinderbox. Love this group. Let's get building.

  • Oh to have a time machine to go right to this show.

  • I've got a flux capacitor....let's talk.
