  • Man, basketball died when the SuperSonics did.

  • Lakers are a good defensive team? - No they aren't xD

    Allan Houston - 53

    Gilbert Arenas - 60

    Wilt Chamberlain - 78; 72; 67; 65; 63; 60

    David Robinson - 71

    Eric Floyd - 51

  • @AgentAmazin

david robinson scored 71 on the clippers.

are you seriously saying the most successful franchise in the sport has historically played poor defense?

  • @Dkouts57 the most sucesful franchise has been the boston celtics, is the boston celtics and will ever be the boston celtics

  • @AgentAmazin The Los Angeles Lakers Are the MOST Successful dum ass! FUCK the boston celdicks! HA AHA HA , LAKER's RULE !!!!, you complete fool! you drool when Kobe makes you Look like A FUCKING fool! ha aha ha, LAKERS 4 LIFE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Makaveli5458 You do know that the Celtics have the most championships don't you?

  • @AgentAmazin Robinson got that 71 against the Clippers.

  • @SergioCarbonel07 Nah it was 71.

  • 4:30 Travel..

  • Houston and Sprewell, thank you and have a nice fucking day.

  • LOL it says ''Lakers rule'' but Houston just put 53 points on them

  • I don't know what was so wow about a basic behind the back crossover Houston did on Fisher. I mean.. Houston has 7" on him, he could've just went right up. If he did it on someone his height, then yeah, I'd be impressed.

  • Howard Eisley, Shandon Anderson, Clarence Weatherspoon........Fire Layden!!! seriously though Houston 50s are always great because he rarely out quicked anyone

  • Howard Eisley, Shandon Anderson, Clarence Weatherspoon........Fire Layden!!!

  • dominique wilkens put 57 points on michael jordan and the bulls, everyone gets outplayed

  • at least in this game, allan houston > kobe bryant...enough said

  • well, thats one ot the weaknesses of Kobe. He is not a lock down defender. He can't shut down the guy who is on fire. He didnt even try to guard Houston (well maybe once). Thats why Arenas scored 60on Lakers and Houston 52 (there's more examples).

Kobe is believed to be one of the best defenders in the league because he has nobody to compete against on his SG position. Wade? Redd or Allen?

Simply the league is weaker in terms of defense

  • @Jumpman1989 seriously? Fool was on fire simple as that learn the game.

  • @st3nkobe the same thing I can say about Kobe being on fire against Jordan when he scored 55. Michael would never have let that happend if he had been like 25years old.

Like I said Kobe often does allowe players to score a lot of points on him or his team, here we have example of Houston, but there was Arenas and Iverson as well

  • @Jumpman1989 and i bet he wasnt guarding arenas or iverson. its a team job to stop a player. no player can stop another great offensive player single handedly i mean watch the celtics when they guard kobe bryant nobody ever gets left stranded thats why he shot so poorly that series

  • @Jumpman1989 actually he can its just that he doesn't do it because he expends so much energy on offense

  • @Facebook289 well, that means he can not. Kobe is not equal defensively and offensively. He's far better offensive player than defensive player. That is why he can score for example 50on somebody but somebody at the same time can score 40 on him

  • @Jumpman1989 kobe is a great defender. he could lock someone down but he kinda plays off the ball defense gives a lot of help. he wasnt really guarding allan houston in this game

  • LOL and most forget about Allan Houston! He was a great shooter, when hot he was ON FIRE! One of the games best pure shooters in his prime.

  • Houston's game of his life. Just another day at the office for Bryant.

  • @BeefPapa .Just another day at the office for Bryant ?..One can say that today, but this game was 8 years ago...

  • @BeefPapa Actually, Houston had many 40+ games. Since when you're watching the NBA?

  • @ElTuco84

He had four 40+ games. 53 is his career high. Hence, the game of his life. To answer your question...far longer than you.

  • @mikenotnumber1 Hahahahahaha wow, Very entertaining. LOL

  • @mikenotnumber1 Yeah, try to spin it Genius. Youtube, never seizes to amaze me.

  • @mikenotnumber1 Actually, you should think and learn how to spell before you try to insult someone. The word you were looking for was DUMMY not "Dummie" you DUMB ASS!!!

  • I bet Houston took less shots than kobe and still scored more than kobe did. Kobe scored 40 but i bet shot like 40 times.

  • @kanguesso

kobe was 14-31, which is 45% and right at his season average.

  • someone put up the game were he scores 50 on the bucks

  • ok is a fucking beast

and just like Obama said he is the best player in the world

  • as a knick fan, seein this happen back in february 2003 was SWEET! but in reality, i think kobe can honestly careless bout allan houston droppin 53 on him in 1 nite. kobes had more 50+pt games in 1 season than allan had his entire career! but this was still a memorable performance on allan's part.

  • shit allan houston was on fire, check the higlight video of him in the game

  • Tim Donaghy + David Stern = 3 Laker Championship

  • YOU HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD !!

  • @brxazilian HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! SO fucking true you are the man!!!!

  • allan houston's style of play still really remind me of kobe

  • ilikeshinythingstoo

  • allan could score 50 in one night, and go for 15 the next day. kobe is more consistent and explosive.

  • allan houston was consistent...only reason y he didnt average 25 points a game was because he wasnt a high volume shooter n played on a slow pace grind it out type of team

  • @khadeemw91

Yep, the knicks were a sweet defensive team from 94-01.....god i miss those days

  • Probably. But I know Chamberlin went

60+ a few times against L.A. But I'm not sure if those were on the road or not. Starbury dropped 50 on them in New Jersey. Plus, Gilbert Arenas went for 60 on them in L.A. I think.

  • But if I remember, Allan could have easily went 60+ because he sat a lot of the 4th quarter.

  • So Kobe set a MSG record last night.

(As a Knick fan hearing all the phonies cheer Bryant as he did that pisses me off) I want to know form someone here: Who set the opponent scoring mark in a game in LA? Was it this Allan Houston performance?...Let me know...

  • gilbert arenas 61pts in l.a. against the lakers

  • kobe had 45pts that game

  • u seen dat shit. houston was 1 of the greatest knicks. shake move on derek fishers hack ass, smh im tight he retired. houston. good shit

  • Kobe-esque?

i dont think so, no one wants to be a rapist who chokes in the finals.

  • OUCH!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAAH

  • allan houston was one of my fav players..i wish he could of retired great instead of retiring cuhz of injuries.

  • He had a sweet jumper!!!! H20 Baby!!!!

  • splash

  • I remember this, so sicK!

  • put new kobe on old houston kobe would fuck him up

  • Kobe couldn't fuck with Allan in his prime..U stupid???

  • First of all, Rick Fox is a defensive specialist. He's like Bruce Bowen. 2nd of all, why would Kobe want to waste energy on the defensive end when you have Rick Fox? 3rd of all, stop bringing MJ into this. You know what, its you motherfuckers who always bring & compare MJ to Kobe. It's not Kobe fans.

  • That's so true.

  • What was Bryant waiting to take the challenge of defending Houston?? They're both guards, same height, perfect matchup, yet you hardly if ever see Bryant defending him..I dont get it. You let a guy like Houston score 50+ on your team? I know he was a good shooter but he wasnt known as a scorer.. I know MJ would be shutting that ass of his down.

  • probably because Phil Jackson didnt want Kobe to be embarrassed by Al Houston and lose his mojo.

  • "You let a guy like Houston score 50+ on your team? I know he was a good shooter but he wasnt known as a scorer"

    01-02 Season A. Houston 20.4 ppg

    02-03 Season A. Houston 22.5 ppg

    03-04 Season A. Houston 18.5 ppg....hurt most season too

    proven scorer in the NBA

  • I remmebered this night, I watched this game in MSG Channel

  • that move in 2:13 was almost like crawfords

  • Allan Houston will always be my favorite player of all time.

All pure shooters should model their game after him.

  • Allan Houston was the shit, though

  • i was about to post a comment, but you already posted what i was going to say.

  • @FunKADunK I loved him, but I hated his inconsistency. When he played like this, no team could face the Knicks, not even the Lakers. But when he failed shot after shot, the Knicks were in trouble. Spreewell had to carry the team in his shoulders.

  • @FunKADunK Allan houston was a great shooter but he aint godlike the way kobe is. If that was now Kobe woulda checked him and shut him down.. he was a youngster back then.. 53 was his career high btw

  • man allen houston has one of the greatest jump shots ever.

  • 3:14-3:21 r situations that say kobe is a ballhog he should have passed on that play but he made it happen. kobe's the best

  • you better be only like 13 years old. allen houston used to be the man in new york.

  • naw i'm 17 what ever happened to him

  • damn right one of the best shooters to play the game.. smooth as water H20

  • do u live under a rock??

  • allen houston killed them that night lol

  • what happened, isn't kobe a good defender, overrated defender

  • when stars get hot, no one can really stop them. would you call bruce bowen an overrated defender for letting kobe drop 40+ on him over 4 times in his career?

  • Why did Marv Albert left MSG Network?

  • Cause James Dolan kicked him out

  • I didn't paste this anywhere and im still alive

    Suck it

  • Allan Houston!!

  • juz saying dnt hate man i know the spurs won that yr and maybe kobe got owned but they didnt play defense on houston...and kobe owned him sprewell and the entire ny city when he scored 46 in 3 qtrs that yr!!!

  • incorrect he had 46 in the whole game he played the 4th Q

  • ny won but kobe still the goat u haterz especially u jipeon and obe owned him in ny that yr so whats ur point???

  • I can't understand a word you just said.

  • allan blows

  • he was the most underrated player in the NBA. Idk why they didnt chose him into the all star at that time?

  • Unfortunately, he flew under the radar since he was a very no frills player which I too never thought was very fair at all. Allan Houston was absolutely lethal.

  • Houston unleashing all his power in one game, so powerful!

  • 1:44

  • For you non-basketball minded folk, the Lakers didn't win that year. The Spurs did. Just thought you should know.

    ...And yes, Kobe got owned.

  • to all you peeps who kobe was owned.who won the championship that year?

  • the spurs

  • exacty!the knicks didnt.

  • ok...

  • Allan never got his props...except from the players he played against...lolol He was a 50% jump shooter...sick!!! Allan was nasty yo!!

  • Allan Houston is so damn underrated.

  • classic ! houston move on fisher wass greatt loL !

  • kobe was owned!!

  • outdated. now every1 will be talking about his 50+ streak.

  • This was a sick ass game if he was still healthy who knows how much damage he would do

  • Allan Houston so smooth nice to see him play well late in his career

  • hhahahah OMFG

  • go kobe n houston ya digg

  • ummm for knicks210...

this game happened 4 years ago

    nuff said
