All the video rental stores by me are going out of business. They don't do well here. A couple years ago this one place went out of business and then Hollywood video went out of bisiness and earlier today I saw a sign on a block buster store that said they were closing:( where am I supposed to get movies now

@sygo7g They bought out Major Video- there was one near me and a bunch of titles (like Last Temptation of Christ) were pulled after Blockbuster took over. I rented laserdiscs from them for a while, they had a small selection then they got rid of them because "they just weren't renting"- I'm so glad to see this company dying now.

When my hometown got their first Blockbuster back in the 90s, they actually had a couple guys dressed up in suits as these characters, walking around and handing out balloons. Later on, I worked at that Blockbuster and they had this very commercial playing in a loop (among others) on the overhead monitors. Drove me nuts.
