Well...This would have helped a bit more few days ago when my friend said he knew how to sail a Sunfish...He did but he 1. relyed on the rudder wayyy to much. 2. didn't have a freaking clue what the daggerboard did and last he didnt know how to tack... with my extremely basic knowledge I avoided a collision with an island but only to realize the daggerboard was broken and he didn't know how to tack..so in the end I flagged down a pontoon boat and we got a tow and the nice people gave us coke :)

i love this boat, although many years ago i learned single handed sailing in topper. sometimes working alone just makes you 'get it,'! I recommend single handed sailing for those with ADHD like my son, it makes them focus as they have lots to focus on, making them really good when they master it. :O) good video well done x

unless you weigh like 85 pounds, and are 4' 11", its like sailing in a bathtub, and its not an optimist, its an oppi, the difference is a real laserperformance opti is fiberglass, while its oppi counterpart is rotomouled, which is like plastic

it's opti, not oppi. it's not helm, it's tiller. taking isn't hard, jibing is. I have 2 second drya flags, 1 third, and a 4th over all greenfleet. I know things. And i'm probably getting more flags

At 6'4" i think you would be quite big for a few things. If your looking to sail have a go in a Pico, Topaz, Topper, Feva, Mirror etc etc plenty of choice.
