@leisagross If you visit etrailer(dot)com and enter the year, make, and model of your vehicle into the fitguide (the drop-down box in the center of the top of the screen) you will see the trailer hitches that are available for your vehicle. They will also have instructions for the hitch, so you can see if it is something you could tackle yourself. As far as the weight capacity, you would need to check your owner's manual to see what your car is able to pull and not exceed that.
i did the same thing u did on the video and all the lights worked but when i press the brakes nothing happens none of the lights turn on any help on how to get them to work
@darkchaos92811 A bad or weak ground connection can cause the problem you are describing. If you clean your ground connection points and make sure the taillights are grounded sufficiently, and the lights are still not functioning properly, you will need to check your connections and be sure you have the wires ran to the correct circuits. Use a circuit tester, # 3808 on etrailer(dot)com, and test each individual wire to be sure they are wired properly. Let me know if you have any other questions.
I'm trying to do something similar but I would like to install LED Strip to my headlights. I used the tap connectors to connect the LED strip wires to my turn signal corners. I tapped both positive and negative wires but it won't lit up. Any idea why?
@atasteofchaosII It sounds like you may have a bad ground connection. Make sure the ground wire is attached to a clean and rust-proof spot on the vehicle frame. Usually, it is better to attach it to the vehicle frame itself, in case you are trying to attach it to another ground wire. If this does not solve the problem, you may need to inspect the wiring with a circuit tester to try and find where the problem is. If this doesn't help, please write back and we'll try to figure something out.
@atasteofchaosII I figured out what the problem was. The wires from my LED's were too small for the Scotch Locks to tap into. So I spliced these in and it lit up nice. Thanks for your help.
so how do you put on the tow[ draw tight] system? and will it pull a seadoo?
