Why not really tell the public what is causing Diverticulosis which leads to Diverticulitis?
Stomach function is to disolve everything you eat, small intestine function is to REMOVE nutrients and water, COLON FUNCTION IS TO FURTHER REMOVE WATER FROM THE WASTE.....The HARDER your stool is on the Left side of your stomach area just means that the stool is THICK or is Lacking water as it enters the colon where the appendix is SO YOU NEED TO STOP CAFFEINE AND DRINK MORE WATER!!!
And if STOPPING CAFFEINE or reducing it and Increasing your water intake does NOT make your stool SOFTER at the time of the Bowel-Movement, then for heaven's sake add 250mg of magnesium with each meal until you do start going runny stool. When you have reached the runny stool point, decrease the magnesium intake until your stool is the right consistency at anus-Soft and runny to STOP DAMAGD then repair damaged skin with vitamin c, l-lysine, MSM or garlic or Sulfur amino acid!
