This remix is the result of built-in synths and samples in Logic Express, some creative writing of the source, and some careful mixing. I can't teach you any of that, but I can point you in the right direction:

Practice, study, learn to listen, and be on the lookout for new sounds or new ways to use the sounds you already have.

Been meaning to do a mixing tutorial vid, maybe a series. Check back in a month or so, maybe I'll have something then.

Logic Express? How expensive is it?

It's $200... if you have a mac. Otherwise you'll have to get one of those too, it' mac-only.

However... it's not the software that counts, it's how you use it. You can do about the same things in Logic as you can in FL, Reason, Cubase, Live, Pro Tools, Reaper...

There's a few things I feel I should have done before uploading, like fixing the snare/bass drum combo, the tambourine level, some of the section lengths but it's good enough for youtube. I've shown my music to the ppl on ocremix and learned from what they complained about. It's a great way to improve.

No, it's straight out of Logic 8. Ozone 4 seems like it's available in AU format, might be worth a purchase if iI could afford it.
