It amazes me that we are asked to sacrifice, reduced social security and medicare benefits. Ask the top income earners to pay a little more or reduce the tax breaks they received a few years ago we get, NEVER. When I was in school, I was taught that the our progressive tax system is based on the ability to pay. I'm sure the current conservative candidates will not be hurt if Social Security and Medicare are reduced. How about show by example. We need to all sacrifice to get out of this mess

The US military budget per capita is ridiculously high compared to other countries. You could easily make cuts in military spending that have minuscule effects on the country's military ability to gain billions of dollars that could massively benefit the lives of all or most citizens.

If you made 5,000,000 your average effective tax rate was 68.9% under Carter, 48% under Reagan and 29.7% under Bush I, and that is not including tax breaks for the super rich!

If Jesus came today to work on the budget the evangelicals wouldn’t even bother with the cross, they would just gun him down and hack him to pieces. (No body remaining to rise from the dead again). To cut down are wars for money I still like the idea of a compulsory military service, on the front lines, exclusively for the children of the rich, no exceptions allowed. Put their children’s blood on the line and see how the cost/benefit perspective works out for them.

I think Jebus would cut the entire immoral and corrupt government. Jebus would be either an anarchist or a communist. I think given the choices that the president has he would end all the wars and destroy Bachmann/Perry/Palin/Obama/Any other politician who used his name to justify violent and immoral policy. Jesus wasn't really as peaceful as they establishment makes him out to be, I believe he was a revolutionary and totally against praying in public and going to church like the religious right

Our leaders are not leading. They need to put their feet in the shoes of working Americans…. Instead, all they think about is re-election and implementing United Nations Agenda 21 and ICELI. If you don't know what UN Agenda 21 and ICELI are, then LEARN before you vote! It's why Obama did nothing to help US people--Obama wants WORLD redistribution of wealth.

@vechorik I agree, except for that last part.... Do you think Obama is really that generous? Obama wants to horde the worlds wealth for himself so he can blow all the $ on an expensive dinner with Ben Bernanke and Michelle Obama. If Obama was really a Marxist who wanted world wealth redistribution I couldn't say that I'd disagree with him. But so far all Obama has redistributed to the poor of the world is toxic waste, bullets, bombs and banks. I know about Agenda 21 & I'm voting for Ron Paul =)

I cant say I agree with your assessment that he is a wuss, it takes balls to campaign as a progressive and betray your entire liberal base throughout the presidency. Obama is the Bizzaro FDR instead of focusing all his power and energy towards a positive deal for America, he's selling us down the tubes like some Roman emperor seizing more and more power from the congress.
