  • I'm immature. I specifically searched for McCotter to hear him speak (heard him on RedEye plenty of times).

I'm prepared for a great excerpt from a gifted wordsmith and I'm giggling when he says "skid marks."

  • some of those ideas (like the exchanges) made it into the final bill. it would have been good if republicans had helped more. the final result could have been much better

  • @Techra You have to be joking. The entire ObamaCare mess was produced behind closed doors by Democrats. No one ever seriously asked for Republican input.

  • I want this man to be our president.

  • And who would have thought we'd find a conservative who is not only full of common sense, but has a wonderfully poetic way of putting things.

    Awesome work sir!

  • Mr. McCotter: I like the plan you put forward as it is clear thinking and can be achieved!

  • Good response, Rep. McCotter. Thank you for representing a view of individual responsibility, market competition, smaller gov't, and sensible health care reform that is needed and we can afford.

  • A modern Homer, what a great and learned man, and wise leader. Michigan is blessed, we in IL need to find among us our Thad McCotter, our Mike Pence, our Michelle Bachman!

  • Keep fighting for us Thadeus. Thank you..

  • That is a great speech, Mr. McCotter, but many of us out here doubt whether we can take care of our families now. I expect to be denied because I don't follow the leftist ideology. Yes, I see this coming a mile away. Are we getting to a point of "fight or die"? Think about it.

  • If the Republicans didn't sell out their conservative principles when they were in power in the 90s-00s, we NEVER would have been here now. I blame the republicans as much as the communist democrats for where we are now. You ALL got carried away with power. I'm sick of this.

  • As congressman McCotter once said "There may have been a Republican majority, but there never was a fiscal conservative majority"

You are right the country club Bush "compassionate conservatives" paved the way for 0bama and tha Maoist to take over.

We have a few brave sould like McCotter willing to fight, but they are far and few too many.

  • I agree. McCotter is the way the R party should go in that direction. He is an asset and is doing a good job. I didn't mean to sound like I was dumping on him. I'm just mad at the "R" vs "D" game.

  • Congressman Thaddeus McCotter, again proving why he needs to be at the front of the new Republican Revolution.

  • Thank you, Congressman McCotter.

  • thank you Rep McCotter

we will clean House and Senate in 2010

    to stop the spending

  • There are sum 237 millionairs in congress, how do you explain those leeches. They can't be compared to laser removal, Where were you when they let Enron and the derivitive sales take all those peoples money? And the tax payers have to bail them out?

Big business is running the country into the ground. Just deregulate sum more and see how far they will take it, all the way to Chine.

"that's one for you nineteen for me" says the tax man

  • "When everybody owns something, nobody owns it, and nobody has a direct interest in maintaining or improving its condition." --Milton & Rose Friedman.

Keep up the good work, Congressman.

  • eloquent as always Thad

  • House just passed it. Time to Revolt!!

  • Great Speech McCotter!
