@Farieswearbo0ots Im 14 and playing guitar. When im growing up I will TRY to be like Randy Rhoads, and make an AWESOME rock n roll band, who will sound like this!!!! Not like Linkin Park and all the other shit. This is the big deal!!!!!!!! LONG LIVE ROCK N ROLL... - Dio
leave me alon, dont want your promise's no more!!!!!! 31 years later they still haven't killed ozzy's rock n roll..... we love u prince of darkness.... may randy rest in peace..
I hate the fucking plane driver that was driving that plane randy rhoads was in cause he was trying to scare ozzy and shit i'm glad the plane driver is dead randy rhoads will always be the true god of roca and roll because if randy rhodes was still alive ozzy would be the hottest band in usa
Alot of people say "If Randy hadn't passed, Ozzy's music would be more full, more inovative.. bigger". But one must consider what has spawn from Ozzy rolling through band mates in general. Jake.E. Lee, Zakk + BLS, are just a small part of the industry standards as far as guitaring set down by him. Would he be remembered as well for the two albums he did with Oz if he was still alive and writting with him?
@MissLin22 i read an interview with ozzy back in the late 80s in hit parader magazine, and Ozzy said that if randy were still alive, that he doubted that he would still be with him, he said that randy had already expressed interest to move in different directions
This song actually stopped me from jumping off a bridge when I was 15 (30 years ago) when partents suck to the core ozzy is always there for his fans WORD
Played in the early hours of the final full evening of the legendary 94 WYSP. Heard it driving home at dusk...just surreal...memories of this station that will last a lifetime
I'm feelin' nostalgic right now and boy does this song take me back to the good ol days in Southern California. I remember fishing off the pier in Cabrillo beach in San Pedro, California and listening to KLOS 95.5 they use to play full concerts on the weekend and I remember listening to Speak of the Devil in its entirety
i loved randy as a kid he was the god of guitarists when i herd randy's solo in flying high again when i was 10 i listened to that song every fucking day rip randy :(
I love this song. But dude, the clarity of your version here is not so good. I've found other versions that are much cleaner. Though your heart is in the right place, you really should remove this from your channel. The clarity sucks. Thanks, though.
"Outcome is obvious, all for them none for us-meaning...you too" Exactly what the rip-off's are doing to the middle class of America. Wake up dumb asses. They will not be happy until this is no longer America. They want it all. The Lobbyists, The Federal Reserve, The politicians, The War contractors. Start by watching "Freedom to Fascism", or "The Creature From Jekyll Island", on You Tube.
I remember when I went to see Ozzy in 1984 and was called anti-christian. And 20 years later Barbra Walters interviewed the new american family.......the Osbournes?
great tune remember hearing it the first time in a sweet ass 65 mustang with a killer stereo.. funny how songs remind us of certain moments in life...
@pmeadows111 I was a bad ass teenager of 14 years old when I listened to this.. During the nights we were chased by the cops.. and I kissed a girl for the first time.. Now I have grown up and living a much calmer life with family and all that.. but still loves this! Yes the memories and the taste for this wonderful music still exist, nothing can take away that!
i'm not joking when i say this but this solo along with tonight bring a tear to my eye. im not joking and if you want to call me a pussy for it go ahead. r.i.p rhoads
haha i use to think ozzy was god till i learned that he writes virtually none of the songs he sings and replaced bob daisly and lee kerslake and trid not giving them credit on diary of a madman or blizzard and there was supposidly no video footage of rr in concert but now all of a sudden you can buy his concert footy for 120 bucks cool. ozzys whole career has been handed to him
@jochavez81 each and every guitar player oz has had in the band have all been good. but i can understand your view randy was a great player but not to mention the recordings on blizzard and diary were done so well they still sound modern. way ahead of their time.
it goes to show when you give someone with great talent all the tools they need they really can do great things.
@ronlutes yes man, every guitarist ozzy has had have been great, but in my personal opinion jake e lee, was the least talented of them, or maybe i just did not like his sound...
Jake IMO had the most unique style of the three and perhaps the most gifted. The reason he gets such a bad rap is the lame 80's production on BATM and US.
To be fair, Jake got more time to develop b/c Randy died so young. I can only imagine what Randy would have come up with if he was still alive.
In the end they are both fantastic guitar players. Randy and the Tribute album is THE reason I started playing but Jake has never gotten his due.
@mgtbfb Jake was one hell of a guitarist in his time w/Ozzy. Trying to compare Randy and jake to each other is pointless....Randy was a gifted man, and no doubt he would've explored the classical side further had he lived. Jake's made some poor personal decisions over the past 25+years that have held him back in music and life in general, would've been great to have heard him progress further.
Every song on the Blizzard of Oz and Diary of a Madman are works of a divine creator, Randy NEVER made a bad song , If you disagree then you just dont understand.
@riprandy318 i believe randy became famous because ozzy loved him like a brother and thats why people think hes great zakk is probably better than randy
@Saltwaterowl dude... what the fuck are you talking about ? everyone knows that rhandy was so much better player than zack will ever be,,, how can yopu say that chek it anywhere ask anybody everybody knows that like rahbdy will be ever be one he`s one of the best players of all time
Randy Rhoads was already famous in Quiet Riot but he didn't showcase most of his talents there. Listen to Quiet Riot's first album and it's mainly standard stuff.
People that think Wylde is better are probably a slightly newer generations and chances are have no musical expertise to speak of.
@Grizzlism ok #1 u dont know the person ur talking to at all you cant even tell what kind of person ur talking to i am strickly 70s and 80s rock soft/classic and hard/metalish the closest to new music i listen to is nirvana and maybe a korn song or 2 but thats it. i believe randy is famous becuase he died just like elvis jimi and of course michael jackson
Okay, #1 you repeated yourself and know jackshit about what you're talking about. I don't care who you are, because you clearly and bluntly lack musical knowledge if you think Nirvana or Korn are even worth listening to. Randy is famous for his talents, and no, he did not die like Elvis, Jimi, or MJ. Randy died in a plane crash, Elvis died on the shitter, Jimi from choking, and anyone who still gives a shit about MJ needs to stop swallowing media bullshit and get new tastes.
There is plenty of good new music out there if you actually cared to take your head out of your ass and look at the things beyond mainstream, but hey, I don't blame you. You sound like a young kid around 12 and have yet to learn, but here's the first lesson, never rank a neo-classical god like Randy with any of the shit you just mentioned.
@Grizzlism see your only comeback is that im 12 or something, my dam opinion is that zakk is better i like his way in playing the guitar better i just dont see whats so great about randy. I see randy s a jimi hendrix or a michael jackson (got popular cuz he died) sorry again u will comment me saying hah yea 12 year old u dont make sense and u have a horrible opinion.
No, I do not, I think someone has to learn more about music to truly make a justified comparison. You judge my opinion yet offer little logic to your own, but I guess I'm left here to appreciate the irony.
Also, I mentioned your age because you show little reasoning other than "Oh, he died so he became famous." or "Oh, Zakk's guitar sounds cooler so he's better".
@Grizzlism i have to say i have all ozzy records YES DAMMIT RECORDS which u do not have i bet, but i do not know? and i worship old music 70s and 80s like and i believe zakk can play better than randy i believe zakk is top ten there is (angus young is my top) usually someones top would be eddie or gay ass jimi hendrix who also got, not popular but more popular. Overall i say randys name got boosted when he died, there boosted
Gay ass Jimi Hendrix? Yeah, looks like I am talking to a 12 year old. Jimi is beyond Angus, who only plays what, open/major chords and pentatonic solos? Jimi Hendrix is simplistic, but at least he's beyond that. Ooo, you have all the records? Well, Im sure your father won't be too happy you stole them from his collection. Just because you own something doesn't mean you know s-h-i-t about music. God damn, pick up a basic music theory book and you'll see that Angus is trash.
@Grizzlism saying jimi is better than angus just made u look fucking stupid, i was gonna try to come to a conclusion with u but when jimi jumps out of a little rocket at about 30ft in the air, jumps out playing the guitar falls and hits the ground-rolss and still playing the guitar never missing a beat then jimi is better, jimi is a lefty flip dumb niggar who couldent play the guitar better than i could
Yeah, because that didn't make you look like an ignorant little 13-year-old at all.
Learn your music shit, or don't bother wasting my time, you racist little kiddie.
And fyi, you will never learn, nor revolutionize, anything, either musically or otherwise, as much as Jimi or Randy had. But have fun listening to your stereotypical teenage trash. Consider your argument void as you are now blocked :)
@Grizzlism lmao teenage trash i listen to the same shit u do why u think were on this song/video u think some stupid ass teen would be on this awsome song if this was my chemical romance or something i would agree but no i listen to jethro tull pink floyd neil young zeppelin cheap trick i listen to nothing but old music and a little korn like i said
@Grizzlism Simplicity doesn't matter its what sounds good to the listener that matters and if he thinks those simple chords and scales is what makes Angus the best then so be it
Who went to see Hendrix? Clapton, The Beatles, The Stones, Jeff Beck, all of them, went to see him numerous times in the few years he was famous, and for good fucking reason, yet you call his gay? You really think he's shit? Without him there would be no Zakk fucking Wylde, who would, and has, readily admitted that both he and Randy are big influences.
God damn, pick up a fucking instrument or theory book before you just make yourself look even worse, child.
@riprandy318 i agree with ya..coz every song he made had something amazing to offer..there was not anything bad in his playing..i don't think randy knew what bad was i guess..he just knew what greatness is..
When I first listened to this record I was amazed by how strange and at the same time how strange is sounded.
Ok, there are some not-so-great songs like "Tonight" yet this one, the tittle track, Flying High Again, Over the Mountain , SATO, they ARE SIMPLY GREAT.
I like how this song starts soft with the classical guitar but then on the second half Randy throws in the electric guitar riffs with it till the end.
To me, the greatest rock anthem ever made. While I prefer the original version, I have always loved this song from the first time I heard it. Memory lane, cranking this song on a cassette tape played in my 1980 Camaro, I'd give anything to go back, now we have plastic cars and lyrics that sound like third grade poetry, even with all the studio computer enhanced vocals and so on, nobody can beat the Oz.
@shiakue666 Yes sir! My religion and my law! I miss the 80's and the jordache pants the chicks wore this song was the anthem of what rock and roll was and what was comming about. I didn't like the new music that was taking over "Cough Mettalica/slayer" It wasn't done with enough heart like this and basically all of Ozzy's songs were. In my opinion they tried to kill rock and roll, but they failed! I'm Bourne to rock and roll I'm here to stay!
Is this from the original album or is the "remastered " version from the re-issue? It just sounds a little different to me for some reason a bit slower or something.
Ozzy is just good whether with Black Sabbath or solo. All his stuff is good, but the radio seems to just play Crazy train or war pigs. you don't hear too much of the other songs like this or other albums except maybe once in a while.
on the radio station i listen to, they either play crazy train or flying high again. they need to play other ozzy songs anything except crazy train, its a good song but im almost sick of it
crazy train is prolly my favourite ozzy song but wen people ask me wat my favourite is i usually say "sato" or "steal away the night" because wen i say crazy train, they think im one of those fags who only knows crazy train.
@bhwan I'm sick of "Sweet Child 'oMine" & "Tom Sawyer" & "Don't stop believin". DJ's are too scared to trust that the audience will accept other songs by the artists; therefore the songs fall into an oblivion of the past not remembered at all, sad.......
@ironmaidenlover67 I was working one day after listening to a local rock station all day they played 3 ozzy songs all with Randy Rhoads and not Crazy Train I was pretty pumped for it.
@ironmaidenlover67 I agree with you. I like Crazy Train and the other famous songs, but I more like songs like, Tonight, You cant kill rock n roll and Over the mountain.
You can Never Ever Kill Rock N Roll and Modern stuff is not Rock N Roll, We need the Classic players like Randy Rhoads back so we get even more good Rock and not modern.

Saltwaterowl 1 year ago
@Saltwaterowl
Grizzlism 1 year ago 2
@Grizzlism i have to say i have all ozzy records YES DAMMIT RECORDS which u do not have i bet, but i do not know? and i worship old music 70s and 80s like and i believe zakk can play better than randy i believe zakk is top ten there is (angus young is my top) usually someones top would be eddie or gay ass jimi hendrix who also got, not popular but more popular. Overall i say randys name got boosted when he died, there boosted
Saltwaterowl 1 year ago
@Saltwaterowl
Grizzlism 1 year ago
@Grizzlism saying jimi is better than angus just made u look fucking stupid, i was gonna try to come to a conclusion with u but when jimi jumps out of a little rocket at about 30ft in the air, jumps out playing the guitar falls and hits the ground-rolss and still playing the guitar never missing a beat then jimi is better, jimi is a lefty flip dumb niggar who couldent play the guitar better than i could
Saltwaterowl 1 year ago
@Saltwaterowl
Grizzlism 1 year ago
@Grizzlism lmao teenage trash i listen to the same shit u do why u think were on this song/video u think some stupid ass teen would be on this awsome song if this was my chemical romance or something i would agree but no i listen to jethro tull pink floyd neil young zeppelin cheap trick i listen to nothing but old music and a little korn like i said
Saltwaterowl 1 year ago
@Grizzlism Simplicity doesn't matter its what sounds good to the listener that matters and if he thinks those simple chords and scales is what makes Angus the best then so be it
crunkalac 9 months ago
@Saltwaterowl
God damn, pick up a fucking instrument or theory book before you just make yourself look even worse, child.

austinslilgirl 7 months ago 2
@riprandy318 i agree with ya..coz every song he made had something amazing to offer..there was not anything bad in his playing..i don't think randy knew what bad was i guess..he just knew what greatness is..

When I first listened to this record I was amazed by how strange and at the same time how strange is sounded.
Ok, there are some not-so-great songs like "Tonight" yet this one, the tittle track, Flying High Again, Over the Mountain , SATO, they ARE SIMPLY GREAT.
One of my favorite heavy metal albums ever.

I like how this song starts soft with the classical guitar but then on the second half Randy throws in the electric guitar riffs with it till the end.

The voice of Ozzy is just amazing. Great song, great artist. Must at least been 15 years since I played this song... So good to here it again!
gvpeter 2 years ago 5
To me, the greatest rock anthem ever made. While I prefer the original version, I have always loved this song from the first time I heard it. Memory lane, cranking this song on a cassette tape played in my 1980 Camaro, I'd give anything to go back, now we have plastic cars and lyrics that sound like third grade poetry, even with all the studio computer enhanced vocals and so on, nobody can beat the Oz.
shiakue666 2 years ago 46
dude, you hit the nail on the head
cardinalfan72 2 years ago
its terrible that the new versions are out, they only did it so they dont have to pay royalties to the bass and drummer ,
oiyabastard 2 years ago 2
@shiakue666 totally agree w/ you on the "3rd grade Poetry" remark. The new lyrics are practically nursery rhymes their so dumb.

@shiakue666 So true!
Rebelssweden 1 year ago

This is the remaster mate.
Not a patch on the original IMO.
Sharon wants fucking shooting for this.

Ozzy is just good whether with Black Sabbath or solo. All his stuff is good, but the radio seems to just play Crazy train or war pigs. you don't hear too much of the other songs like this or other albums except maybe once in a while.
ironmaidenlover67 2 years ago 23
on the radio station i listen to, they either play crazy train or flying high again. they need to play other ozzy songs anything except crazy train, its a good song but im almost sick of it

@bhwan I'm sick of "Sweet Child 'oMine" & "Tom Sawyer" & "Don't stop believin". DJ's are too scared to trust that the audience will accept other songs by the artists; therefore the songs fall into an oblivion of the past not remembered at all, sad.......
