i dont use cds anymore i have an ipod i hook that to this unit by the cassette adaptor but only for hard drive speaker testing i use my big stereo for music listening although i do play the radio on this one it works very well now that i have a PS that outputs very clean interference free regulated power so this unit's treception comes in great even with an old cut up patch cord as the antenna
a power pack from my old portable DVD player but now i have one of those benchtop power supply boxes it works better more amps (6 amps) and has a clean signal do it doesnt interfere with the radio reception. i have this box connected via the same wires you use to hook it to the car electrical systen but i have both the always hot wire and main power (ignition switch) connected together
i have a 98 peugeot 106 and i cant get the stock stereo out! ive made those special keys that u slot down the sides but the bastard wont budge! it DOES apparently come out, it better come out cause i bought my pioneer stereo already. ANY HELP?
im not really sure how do do that but you can feel around the back of the stereo and maybe theres a screw thats holding the radio to a the car i dunno

it was stuck solid! it had me and my dad pulling as hard as we could dad was shouting BASTARRRRRDDDDD! and then CRACK! my dad whent flying into the back seat closely followed by the stereo! ps wires are fine

i got a pioneer deh-p545 but the cd player does not work but it has supertunerIII and 40w x4 and i wanna use it for the tuner and i wanna know how do i hook up the antenna and if i need to ground it
mines hooked up in my bedroom so there is no ground (you mean to the car metal) you may need to clean the cd players lens with a cd lens cleaning disc but if that wont work youll have to take the unit's cover off and clean it with a swab and alcohol you can use a napkin too, if the cd player still wont work then it must be dead
does the antenna have to be hooked up for it to power up?

no that's just so it can pick up stations. you can power it up w/o the antenna but all u will get is static maybe a strong station.
