HI:) its my dream to be a face character at disney and i was wondering if you would recoment disney world or disney land? thank you have a magical day!
I have really really BRIGHT eyes and everybody says their beautiful but I'm scared that this means I have a "rememberable" face. Do you think having really bright eyes will be an advantage or disadvantage?
Very interesting and very informative. Though i myself have no interest in this, the very idea of this video got me to just watch from beginning to end. also not to mention a cousin of mine used to work for Disney world. though i forget who she played. all i can remember is she wanted to be jasmine but i dont think she got that part due to having visible tattoos and the costume couldn't cover them. i think she also did some work as the guide for the jungle river boat thing.
@MoonlightPlaylist As a wdw E. current cast member, don't go in looking like a hooker. Seriously. Your best bet is basic makeup - foundation, mascara, and eyeliner on the bottom of your eyes, tops too but ONLY if you can do it without making your eyes look smaller. You want to look very clean, classic and natural. Trust me.
I have a question about performing as a character at the park. Do they give you a character description you need to memorize?
They obviously want to keep the characters consistent. How much are you allowed to improvise as a face character? I mean besides the obvious out of character actions, but what about areas that haven't been defined as much... Especially with kids being super picky (or are they?) when they meet their favorite characters?
wait wait wait, the maximum height you can be for a princess is 5'6?!?! :(
so what jobs are available to females above 5'6? I'm 5 foot and 7.5 inches, and I wanted to audition for a face character. Is that not possible with my height?
@TheAdultsswimer They are getting married unless I'm mistaken. But yeah. Watch Ego's video of when he "finds out" he won the Tester 3 spot for solid proof if you need.
So I've been seriously thinking about doing the college program for Disney, but I keep getting mixed reviews of the experience and jobs as either "Worth it!" or "Terrifying!" that caused people to quit and such. Could you please tell me what kind of jobs the students get and if the experience was worth it and why for you, and if you had any problems what they were of? I'm 19 by the way and would love to be a character but I imagine that could be even more work then just working at Disney.
Im auditioning for Silvermist, yay finally a job thats my height 5'0 *^^* but.... it says "Headshot & Resume or give you an Audition Application form to fill out" so you dont have to apply a head of time and can come with just a headshot/resume and still audition? The audition is this sunday, please reply :) thanks i LOVE your video btw.
Hey! Quick question, since I may be going to a character look alike audition in a couple weeks, do you need to know which character you want to auditon for beforehand? Or do they basically pick it for you?
I may possibly audition for a face character at Disneyland in a few weeks. Do they want you to know which character you are auditioning for beforehand?
Question: If you get a job at WDWR or w/e is it just a quickie chikkie kinda thing, where you work there at least once or twice and then they fire you, or can you hold a permanent position there as a face/fur character? And even if they fire you are you able to re audition??
Urge sorry! :( didn't think my Internet was working all week and I tried most days to reply to you and it worked- sorry for sending it like 10 times!!
So I want to be a Disney princess. I would like to audition for a character like Belle but what type of dances would I need to know? The site said you didn't need to be professional but at least have some background work in choreography. And I have to admit, I'm not the best dancer in the world :/ But if I practiced enough I think I could make it. So what type of dancing should I need to know for my auditions? What did they have you learn for dance?
The website said you didn't have to be a professional dancer. And I I've been told I'm not that good at it... But I think if I practiced I could learn simple steps or even ballroom. What type of dances do they have you perform?
Hi, do you know if anyone aged 14, are able to audition for Disney character performers? I've tried to look on many websites, but I can't find any. Thank you xox
@MimiAndStazy Because of labor laws you have to be at least 16 to get a job working in america, the same goes for working as a character at disney. A big deciding factor they use is also if you can drive to get too and from work with short notice. ): Just two more years!
If you audition in November, when do you work? Would it be during december? I just want to know if you audition during a certain month, whic month are you more likely to work?
I have a question too: have you ever met Peter pan? Spieling or shrimp??- he is hilarious and has the perfect voice and manurisms they both do actually
(cont.) normally at a non dance call, you wear something nice, like "business" attire or a nice dress. do you still recommend dance attire? or should i come in wearing something nice, but have the means to be able to quickly slip into something to moce in? i know the audition is tomorrow, and i can see why i may not get a response in time, but i sure hope to hear from you soon. thank you for posting this video! very informative. :-)
@broadway4mi wow congrats on the job!! I have only been to one nondance audition and everyone was wearing dance wear, but this was also YEARS ago. If you are unsure i would suggest wearing a business outfit but bring a dance outfit just in case, so if they do want you to dance - or if you notice a lot of people in dancewear - you can change :). Have fun :D Working for Disney can be a blast if you are in the right mindset!
So I've been to parade/character performer auditions for disney, and of course you would wear dance attire, because of the movement and dance combinations, plus it specifies that on the website. Tomorrow I am going to my first face character audition in chicago for disney, and on their website they don't specify wearing dance attire. from this video, you make it seem like dance movement is done at these auditions too. (to be cont. not enough characters left)
Wow that was really informative! I'm glad you told the truth and didn't sugar coat it about the height, weight, and face requirements. I'm still a bit confused about whether or not you actually got to be a face character or not? The way I understood it, you ended up being offered the pixie character but you couldn't take the job? And then the other time you worked at the park what were you doing exactly? Sorry if that's nosy, I don't mean it to sound that way. I'm just very interested.
