we put out several bales of hay in each field every morning for them, but for actual feedings (breakfast 8:30am & dinner 3:00pm) they are fed in the comfort of their stalls.. we have 40+ horses and all have a stall to call home :)
It is funny to see them fuss over hay though, the Alpha's claim many piles of hay, but they do share better than you think, each horse gets his fill.
hard to feed that many horses when a few of them want to be alphas. Funny how they seem to think if they roll in their food, no one else will want it!
