  • Was this filmed in Brisbane ???

  • @Arkapok81 Yes we filmed it years ago at QUT in Brisbane. Pretty sure they have demolished and rebuilt that area now.

  • i fucking love matrix

  • for some reason I don't know if it's just me, but wearing a trench coat in any fan based film for youtube just makes you look more badass than you normally are lol.

  • inspiring work. all data is modular.

  • i have to say, this is pretty good

    :D

  • the fight scene are superb

  • I'm thinking of making a similar film, what kinds of swords did you use? Were they carbon steel?

5/5 stars by the way, well done.

  • @ResisterOfEvil No they were just really dodgy cheap steel ones from the local market. I would suggest you spend a bit more than we did on swords as for this we went through about 3 swords for each character. Its hard to tell on the film but the edges dintted and chipped so easily that they were like saw blades at the end of filming

  • @CrimsonNails99 Wow, I'm very impressed that you made it look so good with cheep swords! I made a ninja film with cheep swords and the choriography looked nothing like this. Thanks for the answer.

  • @CrimsonNails99 hey buddy, what is that effect you call? The one where it prints on the computer : Follow the white rabbit from the first matrix film? That computer text printing thing? or the thing that comes on this screen on 0:41. The blinking cursor and the text followed by it?

  • very good but you need some adr and foley done. It would really help.

  • Well done, love the chorio. Were the swards real?

    5/5 stars

  • What is the music track called??? the one at 1:21?

  • "Conga Fury" animatrix remix by Juno Reactor, the song is pretty old and has been in other movies like mortal kombat Annihilation as well

  • The fighting was well-thought out, but the camera work could use some help if you guys do this again. Get in there and stay away from wide shots. Use the films as a reference not just where action is concerned, but how they're filmed.

  • Woooow! That was awesome! I really enjoyed it very much! Great job! 5*****

  • i think it was well done, the fighting and editing was great, the limited frame rate from net streaming didnt do you guys justice, I would love to see it properly at full speed, it would be awesome

  • awesome. amazing fighting. excellent editing, sound. the pushing the woman into the elevator seemed cliche'. otherwise, fabulous.

  • Lol he pushed her in the elevator cause he wanted more screen time.

  • great job i loved it how in the world did you get those words to come in and look just like the words on the matrix great sound effects on the sword fighting

  • That was pretty entertaining, great editing and sword action! 5 Stars! *****

  • You need more medium closeups and close up reactions shots. Cut in there to give the film more of a punch. It feels too much like the viewer is watching from a distance instead of up close with the action. Other than that it was pretty cool.

  • exactly, more reactions and close ups, also the choreography isnt that great dark core especially for the two sword man where at times he would alternate his hands as if he was doing aerobics class it felt repetitive

  • I agree, the camera angles don't make it seem as choreographed. I dare say it, but it also wouldn't hurt to add some shaky cam.

  • I'm not going to lie to you. I spend a lot of my time reviewing youtube films, normally giving them bad reviews but... well...

This video had awesome cinematography, great choreography, a nice sound track, with excellent actors. What can I say, you did a fine job indeed.

    I give "Requiem - Matrix Fan Film" a 4 out of 5.

  • VEry cool, Well done

  • How did you do the opening "matrix code falling, turning into logo" thing? is there somewhere you can download that or something like that? Very well done by the way!

  • Its done by individually animating each frame. No special program just a lot of time drawing each frame

  • wow!

the sounds, the sword fighting, and the characters were awesome man!

this is gota be one of the best matrix fan films i have ever seen

    exellent job ;)

  • Pretty goood! The cinematography was great, really nicely filmed. ACtion probably could have been more exciting/realistic, looked a bit too choreographed. But a nice looking film anyway
