Excellent, loved that! I had an 83 MG Metro with Avon Bar stage 3 head and Janspeed exhaust etc and did well over a 110mph.

My mate had the turbo stage 2 and janspeed and by god did that go, 130mph plus!

I got a 200bhp ZT now and only does 145mph with a 24v 2.5ltr V6 engine!

Metro only had a 1275cc lump!

The metro has a 1293cc, cam, head, exhaust. The cam timing is timed in for top end and i see 129mph flat out.

Yup! With the stock bottom end, they'll rev right up to 8,500rpm without a hiccup. Modified means that speed reliably, and it's not uncommon to hear of 'em taching 10,000. For as stone-simple as they are, they're brilliantly made.

go to mgmetrocup for class C turbo specs. revving to 8k, 1293cc, flowed head, mg metro cam, bespoke exhaust etc..
