  • Amazing guys

  • All Parker guitars sound like that...itty bitty shrill and nasal

  • @Chromatype With EFECTS Parkers can sound any way you want them to

  • The guitar player seems to play like hes been playing for 2 months. If you gonna buy a Parker fly play it well!

  • nords are so cool

  • Most of this is cool but I just can't get past the guitarist. He has nothing meaningful to say.

  • @lacis agreed.

  • @lacis The saxophonist either.

  • @lacis yes however he made most of the great David Bowie records. there is more to him than this video. he may be the most accomplished player in this video (?) Look up the song "Fame" by David Bowie. Same guitar player.

  • @lacis I agree too. Also the tone he`s using is totally unsuitable.

  • Jaared = Badass Sax.

  • me parece o en la guitarra de carlos alomar tiene la carita de soda stereo? es una parker fly igual a la que tiene gustavo cerati (el fue su productor del disco doble vida)

  • REAL MUSIC HEADS ;;;LISTEN TO MY BEATS

    peace!

  • Bakithi Khumalo is simply a beast of a bassist!

  • what a jam

  • the bassplayer stays too much in the background

  • @KoRnithemaster def... it wasnt bad at all.. he stayed in the pocket, but he didnt even put a little solo in like everyone else did. i would have loved to hear him solo, but he didnt do anything close to it

  • its not a jam. its a series of solos.

  • @drgglitch - But as long as only one is soloing one at a time, and the rest are playing their roles it's a jam.

  • now that is a jam and a half

  • will riker was awsome on the sax

  • If he was playing trombone it would be perfect

  • @jobwell

    Funny.....

  • I didn't know Keith Olbermann was such a great piano player!

  • The guitarist (Alomar) prefers a funkier tone with more high end rather than a beefier tone. It' a very common tone with bands like Tower of Power, EWF, James Brown, and other bands of that styles. It is a speciality tone that not alot of guitarists tap into....

  • Like the bells on wrists .

  • ew that guitartist tone was shocking.... he is good but sounds terrible

  • It sounds fine. You could use a little perspective...

  • keith carlock is not only an amazing drummer but he has amazing tits as well

  • haha...ya but you should see him nowadays...hes in great shape now

  • @sweetfly66 Oh man, that is brutal, but funny. His health seems all screwy the last several years. Looks like shit.

  • @sweetfly66 I know. His drumming is impeccable but all I can think of is getting my mouth around those daddy-mams. Car-Licious.

  • Not saying anything negative about Carlos Alamar's playing but I hate hate HATE the tone of his distortion. I much prefer the warm tones of a ts-808 as opposed to this distortion which basically sounds the same as any guitar player in a highschool metal band i've ever heard.

  • MUUUSIC!!

  • I remember I was playing with Bakithi Kumalo when I was 17 in a jazz club in NY, and he was the coolest guy ever, so down to earth and very fun to jam with.

  • Saxophonist looks like Riker.

  • @paulo101

    That's funny! I don't think I've ever heard that one before. ;-)

  • Cool and intereting site!!!! Wow this smokes.

  • ...any criticism is highly over-rated! I love this style and wish to hear mucho mas from more musicians. Lay it down Hermanos.

  • not impressed by the guitar player, awesome percussion

  • +1

    .

  • Maaaaaaan, that was FUNKY! Whew, mercy mercy me. THAT was a groove. Wish I could play like that.

  • wow......great stuff.

  • Oh boy, they are good.

  • The secret to jamming is give and receive space. These are seasoned players and you would expect this at their respective levels. You can learn a lot by playing this and joining in a bit yourself. Timing is essential too.

  • too good

  • There is no such thing as too good.

  • Is anyone as stunned as I am that this video has been viewed less than 3,000 times, yet some garbage like "shoes", or "leave britany alone" has over 3,000,000? Eye dios mio!

  • Yeah, I completely understand your point. Pop culture is way off the mark. That's way I'm addicted to youtube...it's the only place i can see real music without having to live in a music city.

  • he says it right about the jams!

  • My goodness.. i'll quit playing

  • Keith Carlock is God of style

  • Bakithi is the very definition of groove!
