Rosie, I have to say you are the best teacher I have ever seen on you tube! Also your your tea bag cards are the best looking! Thank you so much for this!!! Please keep the tea bag card videos coming!! You are wonderful!!! Like I said before these are going to be for hospice patients and volunteers who visit them. (((big hug)))
You know I'm a seasoned scrapbooker and have done many tea bag folding projects from "real" tea bag envelopes. I've often thought "there MUST be something I can do with these envelopes". You are so right, the inside is usually printed with a very tight pattern. I've just started card making in ernest and discovered I need just these very tight patterns. Now I'll have TWO uses for the envelopes. Thanks for your inspiration Rosie. The flower is so pretty.
your folds are called 'mountain' and 'valley' folds.
The small square you are demonstrating on is much too little and the design much too busy to be able to follow the folds. In all my 50 yrs of saving junk mail envelopes I have only had 2 black ones........who sends you black???
Hello, Just checked my box of envelopes and the black designs are from AARP. I hope to try more videos in the near future and I agree that the square for demonstrating was too small. Next time I will demonstrate with a larger square and then assemble a card with smaller ones. Thank you for your comments.
I too love to teabag fold but make my squares on the computer. Would love to recycle like this how did yo et perfect squares did you have some kind of template?
We use a large square punch of 2" (3" on the diagonal) which makes it really easy. Perhaps you could get a size to suit your teabag papers then you could punch from any recycled paper?
Really, really, excellent idea! Thanks for sharing with us. :)

I use a large 2" square lever punch by Marvy Ucida. You can get them atJo-Ann's or order on line.
