Trying to emulate a picture of Captain America live action with a round shield (instead of the heater shield he had at the time) = fail. You had a picture, and you couldn't even get the fucking shield right. It failed harder than this Cap-wannabe's scrawny ass did.

DeadFred - I saw the ComicCon trailer, this isn't fake. You don't see the traditional Capt America costume until 2/3 into the movie. I'm psyched for this. I'm glad these new superhero films are dark and not full of dumb g-rated jokes. A reflection of the times I guess.

Pretty awesome, but I will never look down on Cap's original costume. I think his original costume was plausible enough in that it was no great feat to manufacture (no one was wearing BPVs back then and he was the only super soldier the US had) and noticeable (better to bolster the troops and shit-stain the enemies with a trump card anyone would notice in the thick of battle than a spook in the shadows). Still awesome in these days of politically correct video game super soldiers.

Granted, most superhero costumes don't translate well to live-action film, because it's a brightly-painted cartoon realm they come from. @Reichenfaust099 The halo movie was done by Neill Blomkamp. He was set to do Halo with Peter Jackson and then it sort of fell apart. That's when Jackson and Blomkamp went on to do District 9. However this is pretty much how Blomkamp got his start. Doing short films to showcase his talent on the web. Mabey thats how our boy here will get his start.
