BronzeGoddess01 I have never made banana pudding from scratch before but yesterday I made your version of the banana pudding and it is very delicious! I am so proud of myself! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. This will be a staple in my household from this day forth.
Thank you for this recipe and showing me that it was so easy to do. I made homemade banana pudding and it came out great. I had to share it with my coworkers the second time that I made this recipe. Everyone loved it. They thought I had been making it for years. Some coworkers were requesting more. I didn't do the meringue (oven out), but I can only imagine the extra kick it would have given an already great recipe. Thank u for a well rounded YT channel. Keep posting and I will keep watching
Ok, I stumbled across one of your Loc videos then was intrigued so I went to your channel and low and behold, you're like the Black Martha Stewart! (Just more glam!) You make it all seem effortless & I'm loving your kitchen! You need your own show on HGTV or the cooking channel! God bless you & your family! PS...that pudding looks delish! ;)
Its funny to me that this song is your background music seeing that you don't like Diddy and talked about this song specifically. LOL!!!! Great recipe! I will be trying it out soon!
That looks so yummy... My mom used to make this alot, but since she passed I have not had it and that's been 20 years. I think I am going to try your way. Thx for the video.
I love that you made the custard from scratch, that's the best way. And thanks for the info about beating the eggs whites by hand, my stand mixer is in storage and i wasn't sure if i could beat the whites by hand. Great vid!!
That's similar to the way my mommy makes it. She slices her banana's versus mashing. Oh, and we looooovvvvveeee to eat it hot! Great Video! More, more, more!
OMG!!! Made Pudding, and arm is out of Commission;-((( That took a very long time, def need to invest in a Mixer!! It's in Refridgerator, can't wait to Dig In;-) Thanks girl, let me say Hats off to U. I'm by no means a cook, but you totally inspired me. (Could b that I'm jus Preggos, but i Love me some Banana Pudding!!!) Keeep em' comin, Your energy is contagious. Love it!! Thanks again;-))
@HeatherOnia my aunt uses the Chessmen cookies and omg it takes the recipe to the next level the buttery sweetness from the shortbrad cookie...moan. My moms version was great but too she used sliced bananas, and my job was to whip the egg whites with the old crank mixer...
I love your videos and I enjoy cooking! Thanks for sharing this recipe. I have never made with homemade pudding/custard or merique. Obviously I have been missing out. I am definitely going to try this soon. It looks quite delicious. I wanted to dip my spoon through the screen to taste the banana pudding.
Running to Harris Teeter now for some Vanilla Wafers...the kids love Banana Pudding!! Thanks for this video...I just love your personality girl!! SMOOCHES
@BronzeGoddess01 This was a hit with my family!!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!! for the inspiration to get back in the kitchen again! You don't know what this did for me. May God continue to bless you to remain a blessing to others!!!
This was great! I never thought about mashing the bananas as opposed to layering them in thin slices, I particularly like that touch along with the meringue instead of whipped cream , combo of crumbled and whole cookies and and baking prior to refrigeration! I'm going to give this a try, thanks!! encore….yes please and thank you :-) Your the "best-est !" ;-)
hey nice video but i was wondering when you was saying i wonder if yall can hear me did you hear some one saying something like star or something its at 0:04 to 0:07 it was like a whisper when you looked at the video? just wondering if its me or is it really???
That meringue reminds me of how my grandmother used to make it, except she would slice the banana and layer cookies banana pudding. Also I love that apron!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok BG I'm back to tell u that I made this for my fam for Sunday Dinner and it was a HIT! everyone loved it!! Thanks so much and please do more cooking vids
Your banana pudding looks delicious. And yes the Cookies steal the show...I actually hate bananas so I make my family make a small batch of banana-less pudding. But this looks tasty! Thanks for Sharing
looks great, i'm just too lazy and use vanilla instant pudding, lol. like i said i don't have the energy to do all you have done and it comes out great.
this was great bronze! i'd love to see more cooking vids. thx for the idea of crushing up the cookies.. adds more cookies per bite. also, if you like almond, try adding 1/4 tsp of pure almond flavoring to the pudding next time. it will give it a nice rich 'n buttery flavor :)
That was awesome!!! Honestly @ first I was like "a tut on banana pudding? really?" But honestly I can't wait to try that out... very GOURMET with the egg whites and mashed bananas. Thanks for sharing. I'd like to request some quick and easy dinner videos if you can manage it:)
1. I never heard of mashing the bananas i usually cut them in slices and layer like the cookies. Im gonna try it one day tho :-) 2. U and ur hubby are soooo cute! U make me sooo excited about marriage despite the stressful wedding planning crap! :-P 3. Im really surprised that u hand whipped those egg whites! I was thinking "thats not gonna work" u proved me wrong! lol looks good tho! :-)
Great video! I've never cooked it this way. My family prefers sliced bananas with pudding poured on top of them and the cookies. I'm looking forward to trying it your way.
you have made me a lover of banana pudding!! made it for fam on monday and they said it took them back down south!! Not bad for my first time...thanks to you!!
Yum! Bronze, I like the cookies in banana pudding too. My sister said her sister-in-law makes her banana pudding with Chessmen cookies. That's the first time I heard of that but I would love to try it.
Girl, you know I am fasting right now and I don't even like banana pudding, but I couldn't eat it if I did. But you made it look sooooo tasty!! You got skills, girl!! YOU GOT SKILLS!!
God Bless you for making it from scratch, that's the way I cook. How bout for the meet and greet we skip the lounge and go to yo place so we can eat a home cook meal made by Goddess?!?! LOL jk I can't even make it to the outing.
I am sooo I love with you (NO HOMO) but Im serious I just moved away from mu family best my husband is in the service. And I have no friend or friends around and your the closest time I have that hit home. like a big sister
I'm so late. I've never seen one of your cooking videos. I need to do a search. You did a good job filming on your own. The pudding looks great. Your babies are too cute. Please do more cooking videos. God bless.
This is the way one of the ladies at my old church used to make her banana pudding with the mashed bananas...It was always a hit! Thanks for sharing :)
Yummy I love banana's right now that is the only fruit that I can stand to eat. Too bad I dont like nilla wafers (I never did but its even worst now that I cant stand cookies of any brand or flavor). As soon as I like cookies again I will make this but with shortbread cookies.
I'm rocking your hairstyle in this video hairstyle today!! (My hair is always fuzzy though). Such an inspiration. Love love love banana pudding, nostalgia. Mom did it with the egg white peaks, but I like the thick custard way these days.
It looks delicious. Please continue to make more cooking vids. I really enjoyed this one. I never knew how to make pudding from scratch. Thanks again for sharing.
Yessss! I've been anxiously awaiting another cooking video for ages, and i'm so glad you finally did one. Encore, s'il te plaît! And btw BG, you have become a pro at editing.
your way looks good. Being in college and living on campus I don't have a stove so I do what you could call the poor man's version. All I do is get a box of instant pudding and the wafers and bananas and cut the bananas into slices and alternate the wafers, pudding, and banana's. It's easy and convenient for me. But when I hopefully get an apartment next year. I'll definitely have to try it your way
you are awesome~~~a REAL banana pudding and you beat the egg whites by hand~~ I'm ole school and I would not beat the egg whites by hand. Great job Sis!!. Peace and Blessings to ya!
I love banana pudding, too.. but I have never made it with crumbled cookies and mashed bananas before I will have to try making that way next time I make it.
Mmmmm...this looks good! I love your cooking video's. My sweetie is in love with the blueberry pancakes from your last cooking video. He actually thinks I have skills in the kitchen lol.
Everyone loves my banana pudding... I want to try your recipe but I layer mine with whipped cream...I want to incorporate the whipped cream and into your recipe...do you think thats safe for the whipped cream?
Bronze...you are really down to earth. Love your vids. Banana pudding is my specialty. Ive never tried them with eggs though. I'll have to give it a shot next time. I layer mine with whipped creme! YUM! Thanks for sharing hun!
thanks - looks great -I am going to try this method - never mashed bananas - woud have love to get feed back from your fam & guests as to how it tasted ;-)
thanks big sis (yes i said big sis) for this! I'm gonna try this very soon......how long does it stay in the oven and what should the temperature be at? do more videos like this PLEASE!
You know you from the south...this is exactly how my Momma showed me how to make Banana Pudding and How I make mine....except for we don't do the merinque....we use cool whip...a little healthier :) We also layer a mixture of banana and vanilla wafers. Delish!!!!
I didn't even wanna watch this video at first becuz my dad is a great cook and made banana pudding sooooo much as a kid (and he STILL makes it) that I am pudding'd out! :~D But this was a really good video. My dad does his pretty much the same, except he also slices bananas up and layers (vertical) bananas and waffers around the perimeter of the pan.
Have you ever thought of doing a cooking show... I have been looking at your videos for a while.. I use to be an actress, and director .... YOU have what it takes you have a grrrreat presence in front of the camera. It comes very natural to you. Alot of people can't do that it 's very hard. Peace and many many many BLESSINGS.
@bg i love when you cook!! i am going to try to make this for my husband! how long do you put the pudding in the oven and what is the oven temp? PLEASE DO MORE VIDEOS!! YOU GO GURL!
I love your recipe! Could use the same basic recipe and method , but instead of using bananas, can you put in cocoa powder to make it chocolate pudding?
Good job! I'm a new subbie. I've never made banana pudding before (I just enjoy eating other people's pudding. Moocher!) but seeing your video makes it seem do-able. Thanks!
BG Im so with you on having the vanilla wafers rinning through my banana pudding.. i like how you mashed up the bananas instead of slicing them and putting them in, yes i know its banana pudding but i really don't want to taste them.. Im gonna make some hopefully this weekend and let you know the results!! YES PLEASSSSE MAKE SOME MORE COOKING VIDS!! PEACE AND BLESSINGS!!
THE BEST BANANA PUDDING VIDEO ON YOUTUBE! OMG BG...I am over here saying YESSSS Like Mo'Nique on late night! Girl you even mashed the Bananas like Grandma! I was so happy to NOT see, vanilla custard and whip cream! Like everyone else said, Girl we love you!
Im begging you to do more cooking vids..lol. Im a pretty good cook but im sure I can learn a lot of techniques from you. And this vid was great so don't think you have to make it professional looking, i think vids are always best when they are raw and real.
i love the style of ur vids,i dont eat b pudding, but u ur make it look tastefull.and hubby seems happy ur n the kitchen making it lol,dat was sweet though.have a gn
