If u want to make this but you dont want to buy led lights and if you have a iphone in the app store search up led display i made this and it turned out great
where can you get the bondo that you got? and u think u can make another descripive video like in a month or so. I live in Miami, FL are u willing to sell your helm?
@neohero0814 : All the info you're looking for is in the blog I wrote that accompanies this video (a link is in the description and at the end of the video) -- The LED array was removed from a belt buckle I got on eBay, and the Bondo can be bought at WalMart (though it's available just about anywhere that sells automotive repair products).
@timoxomit : Not sure, as I didn't find much in the way of photos or detailed descriptions of the real helmets made for Thomas Bangalter. Personally, my eyes are just barely above the LED board. I saw another build where a guy made a fully custom LED array, soldering together the leads in a particular way, allowing for generous space between the LEDs themselves in order to see out.
Thanks. Even with the fan, it gets pretty hot in there; but it'd be a death-wish to wear it without active ventilation for more than an hour here in Florida :).
