  • WOW! He's really faster!!!!!

  • Whats up with the helmet ? is it needed?

  • Whats up with the helmet ? is it needed?

  • I love these streamlines, the future is now, lets see some enclosed motorcycles, both electric and small combustion.200mpg 150mile range for electric, very few out their,Lit motors,Monotracer, streamlined electric are but a few .

  • Was it tested for higher (than 10'th) gear ratios ? ex. 11th or 12th gear etc ?.. Do they work ? What is limit on gear ratios beyond which they stop contributing to max speed ?

  • 3:22 the driver must have been like "wtf? an egg on a higway doing 120?" lol

  • I want to know what average speed can be sustained in one of these bikes by an average recreational rider for 1 hour.

  • Comment removed

  • amazing speed!

  • That would be cool if it was shaped like an aerodynamic sperm

  • et dans la descente du Galibier ça donne quoi?

  • Bravo, C'est pas homologué pour le tour de France??

  • sorry to duplicate :)

  • It's great work! Amazing! Good luck!

  • It's amazing, and great work! Great job!

  • This machine looks very much like the black Shimano sponsored example I watched at the very first HPV contest on the Brighton (UK) esplanade in about the 80's. Achieved 45mph. Is this a continued development of the original design? Beautiful then, and now. (There was a back to back tandem in much the same shell too.)

  • ah yeah then of course, if it's dragged behind a car that's possible, but a bike without a car doing that speed it's impossible

  • possible future of transport:

enclosed 1-way cycle highways allowing collective draughting?

  • leviterande, please, dont say some shit like that. A bike ... 278kmh...

  • @sRm744, actually, leviterande is right. I don't remember the exact speed, but it's somewhere up there. Done behind a dragster with a large windshielding box mounted at the rear of the car.

As for top speed for a bike like this, it's around 83mph for a flying 200m sprint.

  • the record speed for a human powered bike is around 278kmh I think and made 20 years ago I think.. But all air was removed from the front byhavinga car driving ahead!!!!!!!

  • Félicitations IUT d'Annecy et Yannick Lutz rider!

    Officiel de vitesse

    117,59 km / h 73,067 mph le 18 Septembre, 2009 à Battle Mountain au Nevada

  • C'est du beau boulot ! bravo !!

  • cuantos kilometros por hora????

  • 2 more questions - How does your chain setup work? (1 or 2 chains) and how fast is the bike?

  • There are 2 chains and 10 speeds

The maximum speed was 118km/h with ALTAÏR1, with the next prototype ALTAÏR we hope more...

  • I have a couple more questions if you don't mind. Is the green tube for breathing and do you have an nearly air tight cabin? Do you put the tube in your mouth or does it just bring in air into the cabin? What is your highest gear ratio?

  • are you allowed EPO, and allow the rider to breath pure oxygen?

  • @AnnecyVPH Lol ... you'll never get nowhere near 118km/h on any kind of bike :)

  • Do you have very limited turning with the FWD design?

  • Transatlantic Blow, Serrano & Voodoo

    Merci iPhone! =)

  • Merci à toi ! \o/

  • Bon travail !

On attend avec impatience AltaÏr 2 !

  • very cool,,,,good job guys,,,,,i want one

  • Awesome video. Well done. The bike is amazing, very nice job.
