ok ive been searching for this creature i saw on yv years ago and i cant find it. It was this giant whale type thing and it was flying can you help me out plzz
its was a ok series , but there where a few ridiculous things in it lol , like squids taking over the world? and why would a bird change into a seal and vise versa ? mist of these creatures don't make any sense , lol but don't get me wrong i liked the series anyway :)
@lordeppiothe1 yes, but remember: land mammals turned into whales ... two leggeds dinosaurs turned into birds. Small mammals turned into bats.... who else can predict what changs would take place? :)
WOW! This video is about a million times better than the first one in almost every way. The music, the clip presentation and cuts, it was awesome! maybe you should remake the first one, since its pretty obvious your skills have increased in the intervening time.
@Colactic1 - "If you reffer to humanity, Im afraid you are right" - Humanity (if will live 100-200 million years) will be different from us (genetically and psychologically) much more than this octopus :) But, IMHO Homo Sapiens will die much earlier.
This of course is only hypothetical, but look at creataceous or carbonifer and actual life... BTW are you some renowned biologist or something close ?
Ok, that should have impressed me, but I'm still not persuaded that octopus that are able to drawn squales are what we could call fish bait...
On the other hand, Montreal Biodome is quite impressive... Respect for that awesome work... Et vive le Quebec, a great country i regret have visited only once...
listen coward. i'm not asking. i'm telling you. if you can't deal with the fact that we are going to dominate the world for millions of years you need rock yourself to the moon and enjoy the coldness of the space. and "yes" we will eliminate the octopus. we are here to stay, and we aren't leaving. still rockin' in the free world.
Well if you look at it logically, the change octopus will survive over humans is very thing. There are much more humans, humans can adapt much better, soon humans can ever flee the earth (be in limited numbers), etc. Humankind can even wish to make the octupus extinct and it would happen in less then 50 years.
If you look at it logically, humans can't get rid of any 'dominant' creatures. We spend billions in the eradication of moquitoes, cockroaches and so on. Are they anywhere close to extinction?
Most creatures that humans 'can' get rid of are creatures that are already dwindling or have limited habitat.
Thank you, billjesusgates! I had never seen a more stupid & funny komment on YouTube. I wish You and all guys like You world domination and millions years of prosperity! But (say honestly) I prefer to see oktopus in future!
What I found most amusing is that they said the tree-swinging squid of 200 million years from now might have the boost to their intelligence to be a new intelligent species.
...and then they will find old cartoons of Squiddly Diddly and worship him as their God!
This was an awesome series (90-minute movie in the US, but 13 episodes in the UK with talking-head scientists).
If you want more of this stuff, look for the art-books of Dougall Dixon. Decades ago he wrote AFTER MAN and even MAN AFTER MAN where he said man split off into various evolutionary niches.
But what I don't like is their continental drift keeps the current shape of the continents throghout, like moving jigsaw pieces. Over time there will be coastline changes.
somtimes i wish i could be placed on an alien planet. and just explore and discover all the new species....thers not too much left on earth to explore
i think the gannetwhale is a good impression on what it might look like in the future i mean, the gannet spends so much time in the water ( 1/2 of its life).
Nice work..AGAIN...say you from Brazil right? Pretty good for someone there. Keep up the good work. (I like the sharkopaths. And plz make a vid about Dinosaur Planet. Just saying, you don't have to)
Amazing video and I wonder if the future could be like this. First the humans would have to die off before any of this happens.

This is mostly the same stuff they have on the computer animated series version they show on Teletoon here.

Thanks! I loved your comment. Glad that somebody observed this. ;-)
I preferred to let the original ones, to show the evolutinon of the videos, let´s say it. The first one was a hit from the beggining!!
I already had remade some of them, like the "creatures: King Kong" and " the great blue windrunner"

Isn't "The Future Is Wild" a product of Dougal Dixon...Dougal Dixon of the "After Man" and "New Dinosaurs" sagas? They were much betetr than this.
Morrigan070671 1 year ago
@Morrigan070671
i think they used his book as reference. If i´m not wrong, he is in the documentary, explaining some of the animals.
