Amazing voice, she did a great job. Love how every lil change in the pitch of her voice flutters around so perfectly !!, When people do covers it's great that they can somehow make the song their own in some way, basically adding there add twist to it. I like this version better the more I listen to it, but Lennon's home recording is just haunting, I like his piano verision better, his entire performance is simpler but better in my opinion. True... it's a powerful but light love song... but if I heard Lennon sing it before this one, I wouldn't have loved it as much. Really, it's the singer that makes the song. Maybe if a man sings about "waiting for love", showing vulnerability... not such a good match? or maybe this song was supposed to be just with piano? But the way she enunciates her words, like "Was waiting for you" and "No need to be alone"...

Somehow, I do like Regina's version better. (Considering a legendary singer wrote it, etc.) The Beatles, w/o John, recorded it and sounded too much like their '60s heydays... This version was much more modern and its style, in my opinion, fitted the lyrics. (But I will say this performance doesn't do the song justice. Listen to her studio recording!)
