I loved these shows when I was growing up. I still remember the Friday night line up, Brady Brunch, Partridge Family, Rom 222, the odd couple and Love American Style.
Does anyone have access to the original Seasons 2-4 theme song (NOT the Cowsills version), with the single screaming firework exploding (visually only) after "Looove, love" and then the short skit, followed by the main theme, which, after the "LAS" logo, was followed by "Tonight Starring"? ("Starring" was shoved in there for the daytime reruns.) Would really love to see this restored version.
this show was not a very good one. It promoted cheating on your wife or husband!
sleeping around was the norm, why not be modest and love your God. God wants the best for you. when you see things like this , think about the effects it has on you and your spouse and your children. It may be a small seed that is planted , but it can take root and grow, and more seeds are planted by other worldly shows. Be immersed in God, Read your Bible, Pray to the Father in the name of Jesus, go to Church.
@ighforever Damn it you born again christians have a 1 track mind. If Iwant to hear your drivel, I will go to your church--NEVER! I had a business several years back and whenever a customer would quote the bible at me, I always found out later that they stole something, nothing but hypocrites.
Unfortunately, my mother did not allow me to watch this show. She said that there were some things in there that are against the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Oh, by the way, James Stacy was also married to Connie Stevens.
Spread the word. I never got to the Cigar Store. 3 movie producers from France, Switzerland & Romania talked with me.
They gave me two great cigars that cost over $150. They made me smoke them both in 20 minutes so I could puke for the movie camera. They advertise in High Times Magazine,Sports Illustrated & The Guardian.
James Stacy is his full name. He was popular in the 60;s;and 79;s. He did a western on t.v. called Lancer. Had a motorcycle wreck and lost his arm and his career went bad but he did have a slight comeback after his wreck..He had a bout with drugs and alchol too. But i always thought he was a good actor. My first born son is named Stacy after him.
Of course, let's not forget that big brass bed that was in almost every story and blackout sketch. I wonder how many people who guest-starred got to sleep in the bed, :)!
I definitley noticed that, much to my misfortune! OMG!! I only wanted to see this clip for the sake of seeing Shari Lewis! But, the clip stops, right at the best part! Darn! Someone fix it please!!
Viva la Shari Lewis--- my dream-girl (love her 4ever!) She's soooooo hot! Seriosly, i adore her, and if there's one star i'd like to spend an evening with, it would be her! Too bad she's gone!
We miss you, Shari, especially (aside from your family) me!!
Oh no!? Where is the rest of this episode?? Just when it was getting good too.
James Stacy was just a devil in comic situations, this story was just a little too sweet!

Stuart Margolin (AKA Evelyn "Angel" Martin / The Rockford Files) did a lot of skits in between episodes and was hilarious.

Shari Lewis was such a cutie. I am so glad that her daughter is carrying on her legacy. Her daughter is beautiful, as well.

Love American Style was such a great show. The anchor show of the best night television in history. Friday nights 1972 on ABC.
