@TheOriginalCopyDog Obviously for lighter cameras its not very useful, but Id really want to have this if operating a fully rigged up red, alexa or often those big dslr systems!
To easyrig: Ignore the stupid comments. I must confess, my first reaction was 'what the hell is that!' but once I saw what it did and how well designed it was I was very impressed!!
What I think is causing some of the dumb comments is the quality of the presentation. The audio is pretty bad, and you dont have a pre prepared script to show the product off.
Also dont wear such dark colours against a dark backdrop with a dark t-shirt! We can really see the product.
sir my hat goes off to you and I like any Inventer out there busting his gut to make the world a better place...one item at a time...btw...some of us geezers are indepted to you for ever...long live swedish smarts...
I like some of the concepts ,however, the clip that attaches itself to the camcorder makes me nervous.I am sure that it is safe ,but it might be harder to sell if others feel the same way i do about the clip not going all the way around.thanK you for your time, and keep up the good work.

@skyline462 bollox... show me anything in any studio with a 30k rig attached to it like this.... the only thing this gismo will do is fuck up the image.... anyone sea sick yet! ...
@jammapcb i didnt say in a STUDIO...not all tv show is shot in a studio or use a Glidecam or tripod. They used these rigs probably (higher price but same idea) shows like fear factor, survivor, titanic the movie, sports events such as from the Olympics and Grammys and various news broadcasters that's out on the field all day...learn something abt video, rigs, 30k+ cameras, stabilizer, tripos and productions around the world before you say this is stupid.
Look a little ineffective. I've been able to achieve truly smooth shots using my Cam Caddie Scorpion that I paid $38.It's perfect for an independent videographer.
this guy is a ledge!!! I spoke to a sky camerawoman who uses the large version of this for filming reality docs day and night and she swears by it for long term (as in 5 days a week, for years) camera work.
@Gocycle This does not Stabilize video, its a camera support for heavier cameras. This may look dumb but when you get tired of holding a camera for 4 hours on a live production you may think about this system. This has been used from many news broadcasting and Handheld type tv shows around the world.
I just checked the footage I shot during the filming of Outcast.
It seems that they were using one of the larger versions of the EasyRig rather than the Turtle X... and I can definitely see the yellow EasyRig logo on the support arm.
I saw a movie production company using one of those during the shooting of Colm McCarthy's Outcast. I'd never seen one before and haven't seen one since. This is only the second time I've seen one. Thanks for the demo.
Fantastic equipment, very practical and smart idea, for having both the carrying option and the stabilizing option in one solution, B&H Price is $1,159.95, on amazon.com I did not find it.
@zoklo10 lol'z i dont think he cares alot about it, cause ive seen people with the red one shooting with that steady cam, not even a week later after watching this video
I don't want to be mean, but if you are going to sell video retaliated gear, makes your promo video has good audio and properly demonstrates the product.
I never knock someone for inventing or being in business for themselves, but you need to do better at promoting it.
we can learn new tricks from the circus. embarassing to be wearing that funny boom. add another string and you wont have too hold it. one can convert the camera into a nice puppet.
its a cool idea .. but it looks very unpractical ..i think the arm amplifies shocking movements if you want to walk around with it.. ..but if youre not supposed to walk around with it .... why not buy a lil' tripod instead... :)
The system looks very cool but I agree, there has to be some actual footage mixed in with this review. $900 without showing the actual product results isn't very promising to the person who wants to invest in your system.
An entertaining promo. Script usually best off being learnt first but the realism of it in a strange way has drawn me in. Rather than loads of fancy effects and transitions, i am left with a comical memory behind a serious and useful looking product.
The true beauty of this product will only be realized by prosumers that shoot live events with their HDV cameras. I just held an event back in february where i had a 3 person camera team filming. The guy closest to the stage could have used this over the course of the night to reduce arm strain and fatigue.
Is this concept going to revolutionize steadicam style shots.... no.
