Well alot of people including me are having problems with the plane on the runway pulling to the left or right as soon as you start to take off. Its nothing to do with cross wind or wind as alot of people carnt get round it. Just a heads up.

I have X Plane 9 and have never been able to figure it out. Its just not intuitive in any way and instead of being a relaxing enjoyable experience its just a chore. The aircraft to me all look distorted and far below the quality of FSX and far below the quality of the availible addons for FSX. I downloaded the demo for X Plane 10 hoping for better, but, I was quite disappointed. Just not worth $79.95. Stay with FSX and hope that Microsoft completes their new Flight Sim.

@chris12321222 That's not an FS. It's Microsoft FLIGHT. Microsoft itself stated that it is no longer a simulator. It's a game. Its main package is free and comes with the largest of the hawaiian islands and the Icon A5. To get new scenery or planes you have to buy them at microsoft. There will be no software development kit thus making Microsoft the sole provider for add-ons. You won't be seing 3rd party freeware or payware add ons for FLIGHT.

There's a tiny problem with MS Flight though, you know how FSX had a whole generic world, Flight doesn't.

MS Flight will start out free, You get the Big island of Hawaii and one GA aircraft to fly, that's it. The rest of the Hawaiian islands and more GA aircraft you have to pay for. As far as the rest of the planet it'll be released piecemeal on MS's timetable.

I am a big FSX fan only because the 3rd part developers like PMDG, REX and others took the game far beyond what the developers imagined. We always heard something couldn't be done due to limitations of the code yet someone comes along and does it. I believe once the 3rd party developers (PMDG?) start to make scenery and aircraft add-ons then we will see X-plane 10 transformed beyond what Austin imagined. But at this point X-Plane 10 does look impressive.

I love x-plane series. i haven't played FSX, but i've watched some videos of it's gameplay. imo, both are awersome, but also both have the same problem. they made the interior of the planes extreme detailed, but the world, where you flight is horrible.if they care more about the map visuals, even if not become so detailed as the airplanes, but make someting nice about it, it would be awersome. who wouldn't take a flight in a helicopter during a HD sunset?

@MrCOLTSR2 It's not just about graphics. FSX does not simulate actual aerodynamics. Also, these graphics are considerably better than FSX tech and detail wise, but fall just short of MS flight. But this is a flight simulator, not a flying-video simulator. and these graphics are well beyond those in the best military simulation hardware. I'm pumping twin 6-core Hyper-Threaded CPU's, 48GB DDR3-2800mhz and four huge SC'd GTX-580's and I can't run photo-realistic graphics!

@MrCOLTSR2 Yeah FSX looks better, but at the end of the day it runs on code. X-Plane simulates the craft flying through the air, and so FSX can't hold it's feces up to X-Plane in that respect. Also, if you had ever flown a plane you would care more about the flight characteristics.

X-Plane is truly the only home sim worthy of the name (simulator, that is).

In the end its all down to the person who programmes the flight dynamics in either FSX or xplane. Many aircraft can be programmed in fsx very accurately now complete with spins, stall behaviour etc! Wow this looks amazing. The amount of detail placed into the a/c is brilliant. From the windscreen wipers to the flexing of the wings upon landing, I love it. FSX is so rigid- and just freezes you in place when you've taken any type of damage. I'd love to see X10's damage...

x plane has always piss facialed fs in terms of physics, flight characteristics and reality overall...the one thing that it lacked was a pretty, polished experience graphic-wise...it looks as though that's changing, giving x plane a HUGE advantage in my book...I've been an x plane guy since I first checked it out
