damn auto mobiles trucks dont even give carbon if you stick a house from exhaust into the window you wont die you just wake up with head ache damn scientists and government if you think im killing the enviorment FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
What kind of truck are u driving and how much HP and wat type of engin and how many MPGs does she take and does any body know how many MPGs a Vovo vn 670 have because my neighbour wors for King freight lines and he has a volvo VN 670
I idle at night its my house and besides trucks dont cause all the pollution in the air its those damn cars. Ok if i have to shut off my engine at night and not sleep comfortably in my own house then all of you sorry sacks of shit that live in a house with ac should cut off your air for one night in the middle of the hot ass summer heat then you will see how it is not to idle
@YoungBloodTrucker Besides they don't burn jack when they idle, I forgot exactly how much gas a diesel engine burns when it idles but its literally next to nothing. It also burns cleaner and more efficiently than normal gasoline...
"Idle at night" - Do you mean leaving engine running all night? I think you are wrong - it is pointless! Imagine how much would cost fuel spend on idling for whole night! That's why most trucks with sleeper cabs have Webasto installed. (I'm talking about Poland in Europe, american trucks have even bigger engines, so I guess it's even more pointless there.)
It doesn't burn much. I'm not a truck driver but I remember reading that an entire night sleeping with the truck idling burns about the same amount of fuel as driving it for 20-30 miles (which is an extremely short distance for truck drivers). Semis are a teeny tiny drop in the well that is automobile pollution. Most of it comes from 4 wheel vehicles (there are so many).
@AnotherSchmoe 20-30 miles - that's 10-15 litres of oil! I'm not talking about pollution, but wasting 75PLN every night instead installing proper heating system costing fraction of that to operate... Asd I've just calculatet it would cost 1500PLN/month (20 days in cab), that's about twice to triple as much as we pay to heat up our house during winter when we often have -10 to -20 degrees celsius. Heating system (new) would pay for itself in few months, used one in one month...
San Bernadino valley will make a truck crawl too. Luckily I had a light load so was able to get around the slower trucks. Those looooong hills kill the speed LOL.
Oh yeah! Looks like the ole Mountain Pass on I-15 just a little ways into California! Drove over that many of times myself! Heck of a grade when you're maxed out in weight!
Cool! Thats the way I think about trucking in USA! Lets change for some weeks! But I dont think you want to work at german highways..

YOU DESERVE HIGH FUEL PRICES because of all the morons who "idle" all night even in perfect sleeping weather! You have no one else to blame!
