in my humble opinion it's more effective to choose the option in which the brain grows legs and starts walking around the screen (this way you won't have to destroy the little brains first); if you stand at the very edge of the screen (on the left side) you could just jump and shoot it with all you've got without any chance of getting hurt. it'll be faster, but i guess my advice is pointless since you've beat the game anyway. great job! ^_^

I didn't know the ducking glitch worked right next to the brain. I only knew of the one when you duck all the way to right. They don't kill you, but you can't attack the brain. I'll have to try it again.

Still discovering there was a phase 3 on hard made my morningwood do a comeback. When the brain runs after you is prolly the coolest thing in gaming history I have ever seen.
The balls that are really a pain in the ass for me are the green with orange spots (the one which moves in a worm-like pattern) and the surrounding one (3:29)
A tip for fighting Red Falcon's brain: Wait for the orb roulette to slow down before shooting one. That way, you have a better way of hitting one of the "easy" orbs(red, eye, blue(not the crystal one), and spiked).
Really incredible, how u handle this game. I have no probs with Easy and normal mode, however til now I wasn't able to reach more than the 4th level on hard!
But I don't know how to stand and shoot like u do at 0:20??

It's a picky spot. You have to be "exactly" where I was and duck. Pretty sure this extends to the SNES game too.
