I have scoured the internet for a blues cover of "Dust My Broom" but nothing, NOTHING lives up to the cover in the video. Pure excellence. As is the filming.
the quality of this vid is very poor, comparing to the same one you posted on vimeo, regardless of Magic Bullet grade. But still, good job man! I got a 7D for myself and i'm in heaven.
@xander7d When encoding to some compress format the best i've witnessed so far is .mp4 using H.264 Encoder. That will reduce the file size while maintaining the quality to best. If you use Adobe Creative Suite then there's an app named Adobe Media Encoder. It has some built -in presets to compress video for youtube and vimeo. I hope this further helps you out with you question.
I lived in Santa Monica for a short time, and I thought Venice was a total cesspool. Your video, however, reaches the humanity underlying that rancid sh*t-hole, and presents it in a much more forgiving light.
Perhaps an earthquake along the San Andreas is NOT the best remedy, as I've always believed. Perhaps mental health care and lessons in personal hygiene would suffice....
in terms of video quality, the one on vimeo looks way better than this one on youtube. lol

One of the very best "private" films I've ever seen.
Showing in it's own way what people do to without any money to use really (or that's how I saw it anyway).
D7 is my favourit "next camera" right now, even I don't have the money for it until maybe a year from now.
This is a good way to use it really..
Thank you for sharing. 5* to u :)

Do you ever use the EX-3 these days?

This is a true rival to the Sony PMW-EX3

I second that, Scott. I am thinking of buying an EX-3, but the development in DSLRs and Sony´s slow response to that makes my wonder off to the 7D...

Very nice, Philip. Very nice. This is, up until now the best you've made. It's a beautiful story. (love the angel walk by on the beach)
Best regards

i just had a quick question for you
how long did it take you to upload this to youtube
i tried uploading one clip from my 7D that was about a minute and a half long and over 600 MB and it said it would take 5 hours
i thought that was ridiculous
it would be great if you could get back to me
and very nice video
ive been at venice 2 or more days a week ever since the new skatepark opened

Nah.
But your video is excellent nonetheless.
Thanks for posting it.
