@MrTj159789 410? I'm a 12 year old been shooting a lot and I can handle a 12 guage never shot a 20 and the .410 doesn't really hurt unless your a noob and doesn't hurt that much even if you use magnum rounds
I'm sick of all these stupid kids saying o I'm so strong I shot a 20 gauge shotgun and I'm 12 quit complaining it a fricken 20 gauge it's not goin to give u a booboo that you need someone to kiss. I shot tactical load slugs out of a 12 gauge wen I was 10 and why so much orange you can be seen from a mile away
Word of advice coming from a 12-13 year old I see hes not holding it too-tight I would reccamend Leaning-wit-it instead I see girls on most videos backing away I mean if the gun is going to hurt you it's going to have to go 1 foot farther to hit you but ya your son did a good job.
Sounds like y'all had fun! My son is 5 and his dad takes him shooting. We use a 20 gauge for dove here recently and I just shot one for the first time a few days ago, definitely an adrenaline rush!
@electricboysrockon Not at all, just make sure he's ready for the shot, and dont get scared. Especially if its his first time. Im 14 and have shot many guns and my only problem was with the desert eagle.
I shot an adult model 20 gauge today for the first time. It also had magnum rounds. I was surprised the first time I shot it, but after that I was used to the recoil. I then shot a 30-06 for the first time and that kicked a little more than a 20 gauge with magnum rounds. I know what I want for christmas...
I wish I had a dad to teach me stuff like hunting I'm 30 and look like an idiot trying to learn to use a my 20 gauge on mt own so I say good on you for being a greatdad and teaching your son to hunt and shoot! :)
All these little kids commenting," im 11 yeas owd an i is vewy stwong. Can i hawndle dis gun?" shutup. No. Start with something small first. A 410 or 22 because you are gunna want to shoot it alot and ammo is awful exspensive. I picked out a 20 gauge single shot with a rifled barrel as my first gun and i couldnt shoot it alot because a 5 pound gun has a bit of recoil and slugs are expensive and my father made me pay for ammo
Cameron's 20 gauge is a great gun. It's good for target practice, has enough power for pheasant hunting, and isn't too heavy. Definitely go for a 20 gauge.
@TheMarineMagic486 I went from a .410 right to a 12 gauge as long as you can hold the gun out infront of you and its not to0 heavy,i recomend getting a mossberg 500 with 28 inch barrel i love mine.
@DefiantBoris Boris. While I think you're the idiot for thinking we're going to find zombies while out hunting, you'll be happy to know that I was standing at the ready with a 12 gauge loaded with 3 inch BBB load that can knock down anything we happen to come across, including nazi zombie's or anything else. Later, Cameron's Dad
okay i'mnot being mean or nothing (btw great job on shooting joey) but heres some advice when your not shooting aim the gun towards the ground... just a little tip

@denisontb Mossberg and Remington are both Great guns..But I personally prefer Remington. Simply because they will last a life time!! and the way a Remington is made is just superior over Mossberg!
There's lots of good shotguns (Remington, Browning, Beretta, Wincester), but can't go wrong with 870 - it's a great gun. BTW for those other posts - shotguns go biggest to smallest - 10 gauge, 12 gauge, 20 gauge, 28 gauge, .410 gauge. Big gauge = big kick for big targets. Later !!!
@kayakfish6 - I'd say it depends on what you are planning to shoot. If target practice, go with a 20 gauge. It's light, easy to use and plenty of power. If you are hunting pheasants or geese, then go with a 12 gauge. Good luck, have fun & be safe !
