  • Hey there thanks for sharing the video, I just have a question, I ordred one of those for my 2005 mustang however I sold the 2005 and got my self a 2003 model Mustang GT V8, I havent used the tuner on my 2005..is there a way to program the tuner to fit the 2003 mustang instead of buying another one?

  • @brnphenom Unfortunately no, it's a different part number. The new Trinity or InTune would both work on those different year groups though.

  • you should tune for 93 and use octane boosters!!!

  • can you just rent one instead of spending 300$ on one?

  • @eskamokiller The tuners are vin locked to your car. So it can only be installed on one car at a time. If you want to install it on another car, then you have to return the first car to stock settings. So renting one wouldn't work.

  • so if its tuned for 91 you just use that or can u use regular 87 too

  • @xdavstratx If you tune for 91, then you want to use 91.

  • Why you only tune for 91?

  • @vector150 That's all we have available here locally.

  • @usmusclemods Oh wow really? All my life I have seen pumps with 87, 89 and or 91, and 93. Sorry to hear they dont offer higher.

  • @vector150 Come on you guys, your're killing me smalls!! TUNING FOR 87-91-93 octanes on a tuner increases timing a degree or two for better combustion and less detonation/pre-ignition. I like to use 93 octane as it makes the car way more efficient and more power. This is good for n/a applications.

  • i have a 07 mustang gt with bbk 62mm throttle body bbk cai and pypes exhaust i have the diablo sport tuner chip can u recommend a tune i dont know which one to choose 91 oct 87 oc dont know pls help

  • sooo with a tune rin general if its tuned for 93 octane u always have to use like prmium or am i wrong???

  • @xdavstratx Yeah, it you tune for 93, then you will always want to use 93.

  • I have a 2003 mustang gt on 91 octane gas how much horsepower should I expect??

  • @Akdog08 It varies from car to car, but it's usually in the 20 to 25 horsepower range. We have these in stock for the 2003 Mustang if you're looking to purchase one.

  • dude i found in options transmetions . can used this . or can i

  • Show us how 2 install diablospot . And another video how to uninstall diablosport .

  • @merza16465 We did an install video of it. That's on our channel.

  • i figure since you kno about these tuners, you could answer a question.. i need a chip or tuner or programmer or whatever you want to call it for better MPGs..i could care less about power, performance or lap times, i tow a trailer and NEED more mpgs...any recommendations would be great

  • @cb7pwn In most cases you'l gain between 1 and 3 while empty, and about the same percentage increase while loaded. This is with conservative driving, and it varies. I've seen some where they drive conservatively and don't gain anything. Every vehicle is different. Regardless, you'll gain the power.

  • @usmusclemods so with the tuner you can upload tunes? were do the tunes come from do you have to make them your self and can remove the governer of a car

  • @Samimiamiv1 The tuner comes pre-programmed. And you can remove the speed governor as well.

  • my diablo tuner doesnt give me the option to choose an octane level..it just says performance tune

  • @Quick03Mach After you select performance tune, it should give you the octane option.

  • what if you choose a 91 octane tune, but decide to run 87 sometimes? will it cause engine issues.

  • @bottle2lip You want to use it on whatever octane you set it to really.

  • i have a 99 mustang gt with a 75mm trottle body and a cai and underdrive pullies and i was wondering if i installed the 93 octane from my diablo tuner with out ajusting any perimeters if it would work properly with my car with just simply installing the 93 octane

  • i have a 99 mustang gt and i have a cai and pullies and a 75 mm throttle body installed i was wondering if i ran the 93 octane tune if it would work fine with my car with out ajusting anything just installing the and leaving it like that

  • hey i wanna know does that tune still go for an 05 v6?

  • whats the best for a 04 cobra ?

  • I like this video, so I hit like for this video.. But for future reference, could you close the door to stop the beeping? Again, great video!

  • @ShadowFox7721 The preloaded tunes are based on the stock vehicle. You get bigger gains with other bolt ons, but you'd get better gains out of the other bolt ons with a custom tune. Other bolt ons would be like headers, pulleys, stuff like that.

  • I bought my 06 mustang GT automatic witha custom diablosport tune to 93. have been running it for a year and have kept the tuner in the glovebox. Never really touched it. and now im selling my car. :P

  • how long does the tune last?... and does it come in handy to see how ur engine is perfoming, the condition its in?

  • @joeaccord23 When you tune your car, it stays on the car until you reprogram it back to stock. The second thing it's most handy for is diagnostic trouble shooting, and being able to clear check engine lights and see what caused them.

  • @usmusclemods Thnx man!!!! :)

  • mine says car canot be found what in the world do i need? ...

  • @omar4cynthia do you have the right part number for your car? did you buy it used?

  • @omar4cynthia yes obviously, it isnt the appropiate programmer for your car.

  • just bought this chip fo rmy 2002 GT. i got a question for anybody. If i want to put it on the 93 Octane to get the highest HP gain and i add Octane booster to 87 octane fuel will that work or would it be smarter to just get the actual 93 from the pumps in the city? Thanks in advance.

  • by the way, its an 06 mustang v6 manual with a bbk cai and a volant (sp) exahaust

  • Ok, so I was looking to buy either the diablo sport tuner or the sct tuner. From watching the videos on youtube/google, it seems that both programmers work basically the same. I see that the programmer comes with preloaded tunes, now will that work automatically with my cold air intake and custom exhaust? Or will I have to do my own tweaking with the programmer so that the computer recognizes those two added components?

  • @maartyrr They both work automatically with those bolt ons. You can get custom tunes as well that will help you get bigger gains out of your other bolt ons.

  • thanks for the reply.i will check with diablo sport to see if they have for 98 octane.

  • hi i want to tune my car with predator but i live in Dubai and here the only sell 95 and 98 octane.what will happen if i tune it to 93 octane and use 98 octane fuel?

  • @snoopy75 You'd want to have tuning that's accurate for what gas you use. You'll want to get a hold of diablosport directly and see if there's anything they can do.

  • @snoopy75

98 Octane in your country and the UK is, in the USA 93. Different number, same stuff

  • if i buy a used predator tuner from someone, will it work for my car...? his car is a lease return so he put stock setup back on it and now has the tuner, can it work for my stock 05 ? what kind of gains can i expect to see? thanks

  • @svt27 the predators have certain part numbers for certain vehicles, so it depends on what part number it is. You also want to make sure that it got fully uninstalled off of the guys car, because if not, then it won't work. you'll gain about 15 to 20 hp

  • i kno i'm dumb, but what do u have to have to set up a tuner?

  • @jaketylerhouston no dumb questions here. You just plug the tuner into the port under the dash of the car, and the tuner prompts you through everything you need to do to upload it. The tuner comes pre programmed. So you really just need a car to plug it into and to know what octane of gas you buy at the gas station.

  • what if the tune is set to 93 octane fuel, and the worker at the gas station puts 91 or 87 octane fuel in, what will happen? I heard you can screw up ur engine.

  • @sergsrt8 just toss in some octane boosters. But yeah, if it's tuned to something, you want to use that or higher.

  • what if the tune is set to 93 octane fuel and the stupid worker at the gas station puts 91 or 87 octane fuel????????????

  • any news on when the 2011 mustang tuner comes out?

  • @mobius0311 They are working on the tuning right now and expect it to be available in about 2 to 3 months. It won't be available on the predator though. It will only be available on their new Trinity tuner that has the built in gauges and drag tree and other cool stuff.

  • any news on when the tuner for the 2011 mustang comes out? its a beast of a car but 1st gear w/ its low ratio is killing me

  • i have a 2000 v6 mustang. and i did cold air intake and dual exhaust and i have really seen a big difference in performance but i hear that i should tune my car after i do it? you think ill see even better performance with this compared to if i did this and didnt have my mods? also once you do the programming you dont have to drive around with it plugged in right?

  • @XSoulscarz53X Yeah you don't have to drive with it plugged in all the time. The tuner itself will give you a pretty good power gain, but if you have other parts already installed, you'll get the power gain of the tuner, plus it will help you get a little more out of your other items you've installed.

  • im not too crazy about the price. since my funds are super limited

  • Only 05 - 09 have the 91 tune added. I would stick with the 93 tune for best performance and MPG. Also you can use 91 with no knock. The 93 tune is not a full 93 tune giving you the option to run 91 octane.

  • @RiccoStang so you don't have to run 93 octane if you tune it for 93 octane? so 91 octane will work for a 93 octane tune without problems? I don't even know where they sell 93 octane I haven't seen it at the Chevrons I got to.

  • Thank's

  • @Graneable No problem at all. We sell them, so if you decide to buy one give us a call. The video description has links to our website and you can call in to order one.

  • 2003 Ford Focus

  • @Graneable if you have the 2L SVT focus, then we do have one for you.

  • I've got only one question, can I intall this on a V4 engine ?

  • @Graneable They're all vehicle specific, so it's possible there might be one for you. What year, make, and model vehicle are you wanting one for?

  • if you have any problems with the car does this do diagnostics??

  • @Ser04SpecV yes, it does do diagnostics.

  • Hey guys my Predator Tuner is missing the 91 Octane Performance Tune, I have been running the 93 octane tune, with 91 octane fuel in a 2000 Mustang GT, but I'm not getting any knock which is a good thing. How can I get the 91 Tune just to be safe, I only have the 87 Tune and the 93 Tune out of the box for some reason.

  • @Calibur43 I'd give diablosport a call.

  • can this work on a 98 camaro v6?

  • @mariamad90 It's not available for that year camaro unfortunately.

  • Why do you use 91 octane? how often should you use the tuner? and does it really make a difference in horse power?

  • @boxerman223 91 octane is the highest octane gas we have around here. Use just tune it and unplug it and you don't have to do anything after that if you don't want to. It's about another 20 horsepower, which you can feel.

  • I used this on my 07v6 and insatnt power and speed boost I've got the airaid intake on order and can't wait see what else Ivan get out of this pony

  • I just recieved my tuner and it only came with a 87 and a 93 octane tune...where is the 91? they dont have 93 octane where i live.

  • @mustanghappy123 Same with me I didn't get the 91 Octane, I have a 2000 Mustang GT.

  • like i'm not getting that power in 5th gear is there a tune for that on my predator i have a 2004 gt conv

  • @lawdog36003 The 05 and newer mustangs will have bigger gains because they come stock with more power. You should be getting pretty close though with yours being an 04.

  • really want to try some custom tunes but cant figure how to upload them.

  • I have an 07 gt. and I bought a c@l cai and diablosport for it. I had them installed for about 7 months, and I am selling the car so I took em off today, after loading the "original backup" how come the RPM keeps dropping below or around 500

  • What if *hypothetically* I had an 01 cobra that got totalled, and then bought an 03 GT, would I be able to just swap the tuner right over? can I just erase the cobra's data and start fresh?

  • That's a good question. The tuner vin locks to a vehicle, so you have to remove it from the one, to put it on the other. If you totalled the other car, and didn't remove the tune, you'd probably have to get a hold of diablo and explain the situtation and see if there's something they can do. It won't be as simple as deleting something, cause then people would just do that and start putting it on tons of cars. I'd call diablo and see what they say...(I just barely saw the *hypothetical*)

  • I'm guessing that they'll tell you that you have to buy another one. Unless for someone who really totalled their car and can prove it, maybe they'd be able to send their tuner to them and get it working again. Diablosport are the ones that would know for sure.

  • If I have 2 cars that will work for the same tuner, will the tuner be able to program them both? what would I need to do?

  • The tuner can only be installed on one vehicle at a time. So you would have to purchase two of them if you are going to tune two cars. The top link in the video description will take you to our diablosport page of our website.

  • Please answer my ? i have a 1998 mustang v6 with 64.000 miles i just got the undrive pulleys i feel like if i lost torque will this tune my engine with my pulleys?

  • Yes, you can use the diablosport predator to tune it with the underdrive pulleys done. Click on the top link in the video description and then go to the DS-U7146 part number. We have free next day air shipping on these right now. Let us know if you have any other questions.

  • I put a flowmasters super 44 on my gt 07 a week ago and yesterday I was running and noticed a decrease in the power. The suond is great , so my question is if I need the diablosport predator tuner to retune the car ? Would that help? thanks

  • Yeah, the predator will give you a power boost, and should help you to get a gain instead of a loss on the exhaust. You get the best out of any bolt on, like an exhaust or air intake, with a tuner. Click on the top link in our video description and you'll find the diablosport tuner you need.

  • do you guys carry one of thees for a 95 mustang gt and iv heard theese can damage my cars computer is this true

  • They don't cause damage to the cars computer. Unfortunately we don't have anyone that makes one for a 95 mustang. Sorry.

  • if I just do the basic install of the predator to my '02 GT will it give me the 20HP boost w/out making any adjustments?

  • which would give me the most HP gain 87 91 or 93 octane o my '02 GT?

  • The higher the octane, the more power you'll get. 93 will get you 20+

  • so you the video that i just saw..for evey tune i want to do i have to repeat those steps? so for evey tune i have to take it out and then re plug it back in to do liek CAI or soemthign after the octane

  • how much of a gain do you think it would give to a 2004 Mustang GT on 91 octane setting? and also does having an automatic or manual transmission affect the power gain?

  • about 20 hp

  • hi how much horsepower would it add to a 1999 mustang cobra with a 93 octane tune?

  • it would be right around 20 hp

  • i just recieved my predator today. How much of a gain do you think i will have if i use the 87 octane tune on my 2007 v6? will the hp gain even be noticable? also do i need to change the parameters in order the raise the rmp's? and if so how high should i raise them for idle?

  • You'll probably gain about 12 hp. If you just upload the tune, then everything will be configured how diablosport recommends. You can feel 12 hp. It's not huge, but you can feel it.

  • i also have the predator. In the manual it states that you have to remove certain fuses before you flash. Is that a neccesity? Seem like u bypassed that part in your video.

  • For the Mustangs you don't have to pull any fuses. The only ones that I know you have to pull fuses on is some of the Duramax trucks. I just checked with diablosport to confirm that and they told me the same thing.

  • I have a question. I got the diablo predator as my 1st mod for my car, the car was 100% stock, I install the tune, I felt its gain, now after the tune I have put a performance intake(short ram), full exhaust (BBK long tubes headers, off road x pipe, and flowmaster). I was just wondering would it be a good idea to uninstall the tuner and install it back again? would it make any different, is there anything i would have to set up in the tuner like an update. Or i just should leave as it is. thanks

  • I'd try uninstalling and reinstalling it. You might also try and get a hold of diablosport for a custom tune, to make use of all the extra parts you've added. Come to our website and write a product review on the diablo and let people know what you think. click on the second link in our video description, then on the diablosport logo, then find the predator you own and at the bottom of the product page is where you write the review.

  • I have an 06 mustang v6 automatic. how do you know which octane thingy to choose. and can you REALLY tell a difference if you gain HP or is it just number on a dyno you can see the difference

  • You have to run the same octane as the octane program you choose. That said, you get the most gains out of the higher octanes. Here we only have 91 octane, and running on that, the power difference was definitely there. It's not like adding nitrous, but you'll definitely feel that there's more power.

  • also what if i had simple add ons like a cold air intake. new manifolds, and a dual exhuast what would i do in that situation

  • You can run it on the 91 or 93 octane tune, and you'll get a little better of a gain than a stock mustang would. You can then get a hold of diablosport and get a custom tune from them to give you a little more of a gain out of the other mods you've done.

  • hi there i have a question I own 2005 ford mustang gt with a KN intake and my dad owns a 2006 dodge charger rt, I was wondering If a buy the diablo sport tuner i can use it in both of the vehicles? I mean first I download the tune for the mustang and then to the charger?

  • They can only be installed on one vehicle at a time, and for a charger, you would need a different diablo tuner altogether.

  • I have V6 mustang 05, with JBA short headers, K&N CAI, and FLOWMASTER dual exhaust.

When i put this items in the car, i have not power in the low revs.

Now, I put 93 octanes tune diablo sport.

Is the better tune? Or I put another??

Diablo have 91 octanes K&N FIPTK kit tune, 91 octanes STEEDA tune, 91 octane ROUSH tune, and others...

Which is better for my car??? Please I need help.

    Thank you.

  • 93 octane would be the best tune, and if you have lower power than before you put your mods in, something probably went wrong in your installation process.

  • im not expert but i would pick the K&N tune, i would think that would be best

  • Comment removed

  • why 91? i got bbk headers bbk x pipe and snb intake whats best for my car?? im all about take off.

  • is this product usable for more than one car?

like can I use it on a red mostang then use it on an other black one ?

    :)

  • as long as they are the same year and engine, it can only be on one vehicle at a time though. To put it on the other, it first has to be completely removed from the other vehicle. Sorry

  • ahaaa now it's clear for me.

so this can be udes for many cars not only one by itself.

I think it's the same thing for the Bully Dog 44590 power pop ?

  • yes, but again, it can only be on one vehicle at a time. And this one that goes on the 05 mustang, only works on the 05-06 mustangs. For the other ones, it's a different unit. same on the triple dog gas programmer. You have to completely remove it from one to put it on the other.

  • another thing...

as I saw the stock tune will be saved befor loading the new tune.

If the device is for mor than on model like the Bully Dog that is applicable for nissan altima, armada, pathfinder, titan and some Infinitis how many diffrent stock tunes can be saved in the device???

  • with the diablo you cant use it again on another car since it is married to that car however, you can read obd2 codes on your friends car in case his check engine light comes on... kinda nice.

  • hello i have a pontiac grand am gt 2000 3.4l this DiabloSport Predator does work for this car and tell me where i could buy thanks

  • diablosport doesn't make one for the grand am unfortunately.

  • I have an 02 Saleen and was thinking about removing the cats. I have heard that this will cause the check engine light to illuminate. So my question is, will this programer allow me to keep the o2 sensors from setting off the check engine light? I don't want to completely disable the check engine light in case something else requires attention, but I don't want the light to keep comming on. Also will this tuner provide more performance than the Saleen tune that the car came with?

  • Hi guys, i got a 95 trans am, would this can help my car to go faster in a 1/4 mile? thats all i want, can it give me more HP? or is just to fuel economy and some performance? somebody knows?

  • They do help out with power and going faster, unfortunately diablosport only makes them as far back an 1998. Sorry.

  • hey guys would this be good to use on a ford pick up truck. And if i bought one of these could i use this on my truck then on could i use it again on my friends truck thanks guys.

  • You can get them for the ford trucks, you just have to get the one that's made for your specific year truck. They vin lock to the vehicle, so they can only be used on one vehicle at a time.

  • hi there. i have a question, i have 05 mustang gt, with k and n air cold intake is it ok if i tune the car with 93 octane or do i have to select different tuning because of the cold air intake.thanks

  • im having some problems with my tuner the fuel tunes dont appear how can i get them to appear

  • im having some problems mine is an automatic gt 02 and it doesnt show me the fuel tunes

  • i have a question if you do not mind, 2005 mustang gt with k and n cold air intake ,k and n oil filter and diablo tuning, do u have any idea about how mch horse power i would get at the wheels thanks

  • Go to a Performance Shop and purchase a dyno pull, no one will tell you anything as all cars are different, and the dyno pulls cost money for a reason. :)

  • Man, your review inspired me so much to get the tuner. I JUST bought one off of ebay.

Now i'm scared because i think i'm screwed.. My car is a 00..the tuner i bought is for 98-04, but the tune installed on it is for an 04 GT..mine is an 00. Can i still use the tune from the 04GT and install it on to my 00? I mean it's the same engine.

  • hey i have the u7191 predator and i need to connect it to my computer but idont know how to or where ti plug it in can some one help

  • you'll need their computer interface kit. You can buy that from diablo for like $35 or you can pick up a computer cable and power cable at like a radioshack for about the same price.

  • hi there i was wondering if u can help me? i have a 2005 mustang gt with k&n cold airintake, k&n oil filter, and magnaflow axlke back, i bought the predator, could u please let me know how to use it because there are many options. thanks

  • for basic installation, just plug it in and tune it for the gas you use. Once tuned for that octane, make sure to always buy that octane.

  • what would of happend if you went to "modify tune" at 3:42? what exactly does it allow you to modify about that 91 octane tune you downloaded? thanks

  • if you follow the link in the video description to the product page, it's got all the things you can modify listed on the page. Some of the things are the timing table, fuel table, idle, speed limiter and others. There's a full list on the product page.

  • So i can modify the idle speed, timing, etc. from the modify section? Ahh, Ok i see. I thought i had to download it first THEN modify it. speaking of that, can i do it like that? Like after i download it, can i go back and modify it? or do i have to re install the stock tune, then re install the new tune with my modified options again?

    Thank you

  • You just do all that as you have it plugged into the car. So you upload it to the car and then as you want to make changes, you just have it hooked up and do it.

  • Gotcha. Thanks alot for the info.

  • do you by any chance know how much i can gain with a 06-07 v8 mustang?

  • It's right about the same, like 20 to 25 hp. then you also have the diagnostic tool and the ability to reprogram to optimize future add ons or changes.

  • does bamachips make these diablo sport tuners?

  • Diablosport makes their own tuners. We've never heard of bamachips here.

  • Thanks for the time, good video.

  • do you know if i could used the diablo in my 2001 stang v6

  • you sure can, it's part number U7146

  • i have a 2002 mustang v6 does the u7146 will work on my mustang too? if it does how much Hp are we talking about? and how would this "chip" affect my cars engine later on...

  • Yes, that will work on your V6 as well. You'd pick up about 15 HP.

  • that easy??then why have a shop do it for u?

  • Exactly! do it yourself. You don't have to pay anyone to do it.

  • thanks alot. im getting ready to get my tuner for my 05 V6 and this help alot

    thanks again
