This guy has produced the most amazing thing I have seen in ANY sport out of Beijing so far. It puts BMX, 10m air pistol, horse jumping, and a certain fast swimmer back to wondering if they should even be in the same games as somebody who can do this.

I think the US Men's Team did as well as they did because they didn't have the twin primadonnas around trying to make sure everyone knew how they were the only ones with olympic experience & somehow more qualified to compete. The untested team showed everyone that kind of attitude was not necessary, and likely a hindrance. The twins were too self-serving to their own "twin team" and not enough supportive of the "U.S. team". Go USA Men!! You should feel vindicated after that competition!!!!

i used to compete with sasha (alexander) back when he was sub-elite in colorado! of course, he beat the crap out of all of us on my team. lol.

Just read that both Hamms are now cooked. Karma at work. Can't simply place someone on the US Olympic Team without try outs - just because they have done well in the past.

If swimmers did that, we'd just look at all their past times and put them in order of their best performances. No swim meets - ever!

Whether the US team does well or not, at least they all EARNED their spots on the team and weren't 'knighted' by some committee with political influence.
