  • Love ur video! Btw, what is the name of ur glue? I was trying so long to buy this type of glue!!! Thx a lot! And also one stupid question. Is this foil special for nails or just colourful foil in general? Thx thx thx!! Xxx

  • Thanks

  • can you please do a video on how to take them off

  • @racheeeeeeee2000 you remove it as if it were regular nail polish. there's no special trick to it :)

  • Doing**

  • Whoa it looks so cool! Lol but isnt it faster domg the whole nail?

  • @coolkoolaids1 it is faster to do the whole nail, but I find that if I try to do the entire nail, I get lots of crinkles and missed spots. If it works well for you, by all means, do the entire nail art once. :)

  • Woa thats smashing! :O

  • this is probably your most viewed video, right?

  • @treelamp95 lol.. it's in my top 3. :)

  • Where can I buy this??

  • @roye1205 I've only seen them online. i got mine at dollarnailartDOTcom

  • Can u use regular. Foil?

  • @cats10119 no, regular foil will not work.

  • when you said shiny it reminded me of SHINee from a Korean band (kpop) XD

  • My package should come the 31st and I'm soooooo excited to put them on. (:

  • That's so cool! I've never heard of this!

  • these are so cool & they look so easy I'm definatly trying this!

  • Could you use false lash glue to apply foils? I know this may sound like a dumb question but I ordered the foils for my Christmas party and didn't order the glue...

  • Do you have to have nail varnish underneeth the foil or doesnt it matter?

  • Thank you for showing how to apply it without having to find a bottom color! Yours came out perfect the first time! THX

  • They need to come up with a top coat that seals it in.

  • وااو روعھَِ  i like it

  • Are foils resistant to water? How many days do they stay on the nail? Thank you for the tutorial, very nice.

  • @TheEolization They don't last very long at all. personally I've found them to last 2-3 days maximum. they wear much better if you put a couple layers of top coat on them, but even then they have pretty bad tip wear. I like to reserve them for when there's a special night out.

  • @Miss80Million thank you very much for the reply. Keep up the good work.

  • Were can u get this like walgreens name a store pleazzz

  • @cupcakewifey123 I don't know of a store where you can buy these. I've only seen them online so far. sorry

  • do you think you could use a gel top coat like gelish and cure it to make it last longer? x x x

  • @lollibay1 I'm not sure how it'd react with the foil... but it could possibly work.

  • how do you remove it?

  • @coreynm1 with nail polish remover just like a regular manicure. :)

  • Que legaal :D ameeei

  • how to you remove it do you just use acetone or nail polish remover?

  • @coreynm1 it'll come off with your regular nail polish remover.

  • I like how you talk about the things that can go wrong and how to fix those problems, most tutorials don't talk about "oh yeah and if this happens you do this.."

    Great work, very helpful tutorial!

  • @VermilionLace {sorry for the late reply}

thanks for your comment. yeah, I try to be as helpful and descriptive as possible. :)

  • @Miss80Million How much was shipping to canada ? i was looking to buy some too, but i don't really want to pay more for the shipping than the product itself ;P

  • @sillyville3000 i don't recall. it should say on their website i think. but if memory serves me, i want to say it was $10. but don't forget that on their website they have a minimum credit card order of $25.

  • @Miss80Million Thank you! :)

  • where did you get the foil glue..?

  • @cheezburgaz @Kurolli I got the glue from the same place i got the foils - as written in the description box.

  • yay i bought some!!!

  • can someone please tell me if dollar nail art ships to canada!!! please

  • @LoLo10872 well since they shipped to me and I live in canada, the answer is yes. you can also always check their website for shipping info re: time and cost. :)

  • OMG This is SOOO COOL !

  • Tht looks goioid

  • o-o where can you buy the glue?...

  • woowww

  • Doesn't this last only a few hours? For me it does. Washes off easy. How can I prevent this?

  • This was a very useful video! thank you so much!:D

  • Awesome!

  • hi awsome video but is there any store you can by the foil at other than ordering it? thanx.

  • @knsparkles not that i'm aware of.

  • I think the first nail you done is easier then the second where you halfed the nail........... js:)

  • @RoRoAndLauz the first method is easier because it has fewer steps but it's more likely to crinkle due to the curve of your nail. so it's all about personal judgement. :D thanks for your comment!

  • @Miss80Million Oh, i will try both out, thanks for replying :)

  • where can you buy the foil?

  • @xcelcheerchick did you watch/listen to the video? watch again. :)

  • @Miss80Million

where can you buy the nail foil

  • Have you tried this with seche vite topcoat? I kno that is a little thinker than most topcoats so im not sure if that makes it better or worse...

  • @Avoidingnemo11 hi. sorry. didn't see your comment til now. I would absolutely NOT use Seche vite with foils. The fast dry top coats increase the amount that the foil crinkles.

  • beautiful!!

  • Can foils be used on false/acrylic nails?

  • @paddysjem i don't see why not. I don't use acrylics personally though, so i'm not completely sure.

  • @Miss80Million I will give it a try next week.. lol

  • WOW!!!

  • what is that foil colour you are using in the vid? id like to get that one

  • @xxwendyx hehe. it's called Teal.

  • I didn't know they had foils for nails.

  • I don't know if anyone has said this before but if you don't want to spend $25 they have an order form that you can print out and mail to them. It says so here on their FAQ under the question 'Why is there a $25.00 minimum electronic order?'

  • This is so cool! I really wanna try it ! do they sell this in stores ?

  • I have a special top coat for my foils but every time I apply it cracks my foils and they become rubbish. Which top coat do you use?

  • @fleurinscotland it's best to use top coats that are Not quick drying. I think they will all crinkle the foils at least a bit, but the fast dry ones will even more. Maybe try just using a clear polish instead?

  • والله اهل فيلجا ما خلو شىء!!!!!

  • thank you very much for your trick ^^

  • Wonder after you add your top coat if you can add a Konad design :0

  • @forevernails81 thats what i thought!

  • i am so getting this when i get paid next week...im so excited!

  • how much was the shipping and handeling ?

  • @dakkota9404 I just bought some and only paid around 5 dollars

  • these are sooo kool and very pretty!!!! i so wanna try them:))) great video!!

  • the thing about the website for where you buy them you have to spend $25.00 D:

  • @britybird4lyfe124 yeah, that was a bit of a bummer.... until I realized that my cart had about $80 worth of stuff it in. :)

  • THESE ARE HOT!!!!!!!!!

  • @blacklily624 hehe. thanks!

  • omg thats so pretty!! I WANT.

  • how much was the shipping for the foils??

  • @xXBabeJaeXx lol.. you found it :)

I don't remember. I think it might say on the website.

  • how many nail foils do you have?

  • @happypuppy1011 i don't know off hand right now. but as many as i show in my collection video (part 2) is how many I have.. maybe around 9?

  • I cant find what glue you used, i checked the description box. can you please tell me, thank you.

  • @happypuppy1011 when you order 6 or more foils from dollarnailart they send you a free adhesive

  • @PiinkBunniie true story!

  • where do you buy the glue

  • @415krissy check the description box. it says it all there :)

  • @Miss80Million thanks

  • ahh. okie.. :) i have those but i haven't used it yet.. hahah lol..

but when i watched this video.. i did it perfectly.. thanks to you :) advanced merry christmas :)

  • @muwaho0 thanks! Merry Christmas to you too!

  • so it doesnt need to have a colored base coat?

  • @muwaho0 nope. not at all. i only used the colored polish to help hide imperfections.

  • Hi! Great tutorial! Have you ever tried a UV-sealer instead of a topcoat? U know, a one that has to dry under a UV lamp? I was wondering if maybe that is a solution to prevent the crincles?

  • @KimsKie79 No, i never have. I don't use anything like that on my nails. It could possibly be a solution to prevent the crinkling. If you give it a try, let me know how it turns out !

  • where I could buy these products? thanks

  • @michukass check the info box. :)

  • VERY PRETTY=) How much is the shipping?

  • @MissKei05 i don't remember. it's on the website though. dollarnailartDOTcom

  • @kkacuniq20 I'm not sure what other brands do. I haven't tried that many with foils yet. Also, if you want to avoid the crinkling, you could probably also just use a clear polish before you apply your top coat :)

  • ahh i love it! I wish i could buy it, but can't find it on the ebay .. is there any way you could use other foils like the ones for wrapping gifts?? maybe i could try that out ...

  • @buttah7 regular foil or foil for gift wrapping definitely will not work. though I suppose you could simply glue it on to your nail like a sticker. But nail foils are a really thin layer of foil that's got that clear backing to it. So when the foil adheres to the glue, the clear backing separates from it.

  • @buttah7 You can try things like gold or silver leaf that you can get from a craft store. It doesn't come with the backing but adheres in the same manner. --but it's probably more expensive. and I'd definitely check the ingredients in the glue that's used with that to make sure it's safe to be in contact with your skin before applying it to your nail. :) (I've never tried it so i have no idea how it'll work. definitely do some safety/ingredients research before trying it)

  • Would applying the glue over the foil make them last longer, do you think? Do you know if it makes them crinkle too?

  • @LipRouge I definitely wouldn't apply the glue over the foil. I don't think that would make them last longer at all. The crinkling is caused by the chemical reaction between the top coat and the glue (if i'm not mistaken) but as the top coat dries it should mostly uncrinkle.

you can buy top coats that are specifically for foils but I didn't feel like it'd be worth it for me. (not sure where, but i've heard of them. maybe try transdesign or ebay)

  • @Miss80Million THANK YOU, THANK YOU! =)

  • hey i loved the way they came out!!!...im ordering mine today ,but how long did it take to get yours?

  • @TheCocobananaz It came within the time they outlined on their website :)

  • What kind of top coat do you recommend to use?

I know that fast drying topcoats are not good for the foils and I tried using the OPI top coat and it took about the shine and started to crinkle a bit and stayed :(

  • @iiamjessie I actually used a base coat for this video. But maybe try using just a clear polish instead of a top coat. I find that that usually works alright.

  • I don't see the link for where you get them.

  • @tastybrain the website is listed on the second line in the info box

  • Thank you so much that really help =) your so good at nails keep up the good work =)

    5 stars!!!

  • @sarahrasah thanks so much ! :)

  • hi , you are awesome!!!!! anyways i have a question i have ordered these foils from the same website as you and i also live in canada and its been like a month and its still not here yet may i ask you how long did it take for it to ship for you??? like how many days or months if you know, that would be great !!!!!

  • @sarahrasah I don't remember exactly, but it did take a while. If they had a FAQ section or shipping timing section it still got delivered within the time frame i think... maybe it took 2-3 weeks?? If it's been over 3 weeks i'd definitely contact them. --chances are though, that it's just caught up in customs.. hope you get it soon! :)

  • hi , you are awesome!!!!! anyways i have a question i have ordered these foils from the same website as you and i also live in canada and its been like a month and its still not here yet may i ask you how long did it take for it to ship for you??? like how many days or months if you know, that would be great !!!!!

  • i can see you in your nails :D

  • @ringdingading lol.. yep. they're that shiny and reflective :D

  • fabulous! I just love the color too. I so want to try this now.

  • i just want to ask of what liquid you are using to take it off and is that possible the you can put rhinestones in top of it??? thank you for ypur tutorial

  • @okandthen1234 i just used regular acetone based nail polish remover to take it off. you definitely can add rhinestones on top of it. I am definitely looking to do more foiling tutorials in the futures so i will make a note to add rhinestones to the next foiling tutorial. :)

  • The foils are Awesome !

  • thats so cool!

  • I went on the website and got them, can you do more in other foil color?

    this is super coooool

  • @liss929 i definitely plan to do more tutorials with the foils.. but it might be a while. just keep watching :)

  • So pretty! I would never have thought to do that!

  • very nice!its so good in your nail since you have white skin!

  • @BianxieLUVFabulous hehe thanks :D

  • This is too cool. I know you said it doesn't last long but I think it comes out better than those Sally Hansen Chrome polishes do. Sally Hansen Chrome polish always looked a bit cloudy to me after applying a topcoat and usually chipped by the next day or so. Thank you for the tutorial.

  • @NothingGirl101 i missed out on the sally hansen chrome polishes. :(

glad this looks better though :D

  • Hi hope to see more videos soon, maybe about foils you are the best at tutorials

  • @MaggieBG100 aww thanks so much! yeah, videos are on pause b/c i just moved. :D

  • Those foil are great!

  • @dovlecel21 yeah, i love them :) great for a night out :D

  • I have use foil before but on crafts but never on nails , that wild , I love it , there are so many ways to try this .. great job !!

  • @Fancypompups thanks! glad you enjoyed the vid!

keep in mind that the foils i bought are specifically for applying to your nails. they're not the same as the kind used for crafts (foils for crafts, as far as i'm aware, don't have the plastic backing. :)

  • Hi love ur foil video hope to see more was hoping you could do ur haulfrom dollarnailart

  • @MaggieBG100 I can definitely do a video showing what I have (but most of it I actually gave away in my past contest :)

  • i think u have the best video on foils. how long did it take for your foils to be delivered?

  • wow that is soooo cool!

  • @kristyrox101 thanks girl!

  • Comment removed

  • looks amazing! I've never done foils...looks fun and interesting to do. great video!

  • @JaeMarie2008 thanks hun! ^_^

  • waahhh! this is beautiful x]

taha, I watched this with a friend, and she went crazy and tried to glue wrapping paper foil onto her nails xDDDD didn't work but it was funny :P

  • @Swordyfiish lol.. um.. yeah. wrapping foil... not so much :D hehehe..

    glad you liked it ^_^

  • WAUW!

  • @DreamBubble101 are you saying you got this done in a salon and it didn't work??

If so, I would definitely go back and complain

  • luv ur channel! thanks for this! i can't believe i spent so much money on minx when I can do this...

  • @lizlimon44 you're welcome!

  • Cuty cute :D I wanted to ask two Q: Is the glue some sort of special glue for nails? I mean by putting it on yr naturals nails u dont risk to ruin them?

  • @TheBabyride good question! It's a special glue for foiling your nails. it's not the same glue that you use to apply false nails. It does not damage your nails at all. more details in the info bar :D

  • @Miss80Million ok! thanks again for helping :D Meanwhile I checked that site u put in the infobox.. like it! x

  • @TheBabyride no worries! just be careful with that site though b/c there's a minimum purchase if using credit card or paypal (i"m assuming processing fee etc)

  • Oh wow I've never seen foil applied like this before! I think is a good alternative for the pricey Minx, they don't last that long anyways :)

    two thumbs up!

  • @linda165 thanks :D

  • Thats so cool i wish i could do this but i cant :( cuz i usally ask for too much and i dont do much for my parents (i do but they dont notice) so yeah xD

  • @xXPugglesXx hehe. oh well. maybe one day :)

  • @DreamBubble101 what exactly didn't work?

  • wow! that looks so cool! Pity it doesn't last long though.
