well the swift had a sequential transmission and is still a works machine from suzuki itself. you were quite right on the driver not being that good but dont forget he piloted the same suzuki that dusted the drift king's ae86 by a big gap in an earlier battle.
Not a bad effort by the Swift. Swift S1600 set up for a gravel rally driven by a driver unfamiliar with the car, equal with the Honda EG6 with a much better setup. Good battle.

He's not a 'noob', he's used to driving Le Mans prototypes and Super GT cars around race tracks, not rally cars around small touge courses. He was put in the rally car because you'd expect that to win, so with him in that and the more experienced touge guy in the road car it was to balance it out.
Tarmac is not the Swift's strong point but still, give it to a rally driver and you'll see.. And what about the 2nd round with the Swift following the Civic, they didn't show the rest... :)
emmm 2 things... if this suzuki is drived by wilks the civic is owned, and this is not a WRC is an a s-1600, if the civic races vs a WRC civic is owned...
Even just by looking at them, the Civic looks like a proper sports car, an FF sports car if you will, compared to that yellow grocery getter...
