@ccg1221 i would..i have a 97 s 10.i paid $450.00 for it.the body is rough.but the little sucker has not gave me one ounce of trouble.it is by far the best bang for the buck.i couldnt have found a better car or truck for that kind of money.

@znashar i would say straight garbage =\, i just dont like how the stripes narrow at the front. only thing id change is a 98+ grille, stock valence and remove the stripes. but its not mine :P i have a 96 s10 ss and i liek the stock ook a lot better.

I have a v8 350 in my 94 s10 with nos. Although the paint is pealing and have stock alloy rims, she's fast. I had it custom made in 94 and still own it.

Are you using the NV 3500 5-speed? Is it one from that S10, or one from a half ton?

@Veikra The S10 version has a .83 5th gear ratio, while the 1/2 ton version has a .73 5th gear. The 1/2 ton also has a bigger TH400 style yoke. The shifter is also bigger. Both transmissions carry the same 300lb-ft. torque rating.

@madtownmadman Yeah I knew all nv3500 were rated at 300, but didnt know that s10s had smaller yokes and diff overdrive. Never owned a s10, but have a 1/2ton as a daily and really like this transmission. Does the job nicely on a v6, still on oem clutch too

yes 20" american racing iroc's and 245/35/20 tires all around perfect offset for a lowered truck!
