  • These guys are lucky that they can go to a miner corner store and buy explosives right off the shelf. Wish we could be able do this here along the west coast. Good luck and keep workin hard.

  • "Scorpion king" lol

  • Hi Im 23 years old I live in potosí and Im very purchease for the turism and I wish you all guys respect, too much people died there , kids and oldmans please occidental people take respeact for us

  • Great Video, I was there a few months ago and this brings back all the memories

  • fuckn spanish...

europe wuould not be anything without stilling potosi silver....

  • you are exactly right.....when the spanish took all the silver from potosi and gold from other places all that wealth was fro them but they had debts that were owed to great britian.............so spain lost the majority of it and without that wealth england would of never beat napolean an would of never been the world power..............

  • @ecuaagua20 Napolean betrayed his soldiers at Waterloo, just as he did in Russia. The place to focus the attack should have been Mont St Jean. Instead, he chose Chateau of Hougomont, the worst place. An error like that could only have been commited on purpose by someone like Napolion. It was in the Jesuit plan for England, where the set up the bank, to be the economic center of the world.

Thankfully, he was poisoned for his trechery.

  • Awesome video. Saw the link when I uploaded some brief footage of my own. Well done.

  • I think you said you were from Sweden, but you didn't seem to have much of an accent. What was your favorite thing to do in Potosi besides the more tourist type places. I always loved the weekend ferias. Did you have a favorite disco or place to go eat? great vid!

  • No I am from Virginia, but I visited the mine with a group from Sweden, Yeah my Swedish accent is poor. Thanks for the comment.

  • I used to live in Potosi.... I went back this year to visit at Xmas/New Years. I did the mine tour back in 2000. I don't believe they allow tourists to get to level 4.

It's not uncommon for the workers to not live past 40. A little over a year ago the miners got rich again. I heard many bought Hummers and were driving around Potosi in them! Can you imagine driving those streets in a Hummer. Not such a great idea to spend the money that only lasted a brief moment.

  • You are bravely adventurous. So cool.

    "Maybe it was a dud"

    BOOM

    "No it wasn't a dud."

  • No kidding. What a crazy adventure that was.

  • Wow, mines can be very dangerous! :o Glad you didn't get run over. :)
