  • that can just plug into a p.a right, cause i just got a p.a??

  • @JessePennock15 Hiya, Yes - that's right. VoiceLive 2 will connect directly to a PA.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • i would like to buy a VoiceLive 2 but I need it to work with my keyboard. Is there a voicelive that works with keyboards?

  • @c2cblue Hiya, VoiceLive 2 will definitely work with a keyboard when using the midi connection. Hope this helps!

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • I would LOVE to see a list of the preset names followed by song titles as examples to tell me where I might use these presets. "Another Brick" is a no brainer but that is what some of us who don't know music theory need.

  • Hi, I bought the Voicelive 2. I'm a solo acoustic guitarist and vocalist and I also play in a rock band too. The Voicelive 2 is a very cool machine but I am still scratching my head over what i can do with some of the presets. As a guitarist playing with a Line 6 the patches are named after certain songs in which the guitar sound is pretty close to the guitar sound in the song. This gives me a better idea of where I can use that preset. "Another Brick" named patch is a great example.

  • Have you guys thought about making a pedal that could control Voicelive2 as a Voicelive touch? Voicelive2 already has a pedal input. It would be nice to have a manual controller for the Voicelive2 so when you're working on new presets or even at the studio your hands don't get all dirty from the voicelive2 itself.

Having a more portable manual controller would speed up the process of making new presets at home and facilitate recording sessions.

  • What is the difference between voicelive one and two? Thanks!

  • @Marshallsoloway Hiya, The VoiceLive 2 has many differences to the original VoiceLive. For a start there is the 8 voices of harmony as well as the intelligent adaptive tone features. The VoiceLive 2 has been designed to be the most user friendly and intuitive vocal effects processor possible. The step mode function is completely redesigned and you can generate harmonies using key / scale, midi, guitar or any audio input.

  • @tchelicon Is this the best there ever was or what? great Machine! Must cost a fortune!

  • @Marshallsoloway There are so many possibilities with this unit and pretty much everything onboard is editable. I would suggest you visit your local Helicon dealer and try one for yourself. If you need any more help feel free to sing out!

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • This thing is too cool. I sure wish it was $400 instead of $800. ha ha.

  • I just got one brand new in the box on ebay for $585!! I can't wait to get it!

  • Anyone know how the "adaptive" features are well... adaptive?

For example, what is the adaptive EQ adapting to and changing?

  • @flmason HIya, The adaptive eq adapts to the tone of your voice throughout the performance ensuring that you get the best tone possible. For more info on this you can check out the user manuals which are downloadable from the TC-Helicon website.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • that's cool !! Thank you . I'm gonna buy one !! :D All the best!!

  • Hello tchelicon !! Does this one have a mic preamp ?? Thanks for your post. It's very helpful. All the best!!

  • Hiya,

It certainly does:), a very good one!

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC Helicon

  • I have the Voice Live 1 and like it a lot. But, a feature that it was missing, (IMO) is a bypass feature. I don't want all the effect when I speak, but holding down the pedal for a few seconds was not a cool way to use the bypass.

  • So is the delay/tap tempo available for the guitar effects too, or is it just reverb, compress, mod. as it says in PDF manual?

  • Hiya,

Yes, you're right - it's only the effects as stated in the PDF manual.

    Joey @ TC Helicon

  • Ordered mine today from Sweetwater! Can't wait!!!

  • The Price of this Great pedal????

  • when is the TC HELICON *drool* SYNTH coming out!?!?

  • roughly August :). Joey

  • can you use this unit as a stand alone effects pedal at a show just by plugging your mic into it, then your pedal out to the PA?

  • Do you think that you could endorse me one.I will look after it.

  • Does anyone know if you can use 2 mics with an adapter with this but with only one singing at one time ( if you know what i mean )

  • Thanx - and one more question:

    there were several complaints regarding

durability and inconstancy of the original VoiceLive (e.g. often reboots, sensitivity to rough manipulation or humidity).

Has this been improved somehow with the new VoiceLive 2? If yes, how exactly?

  • VoiceLive 2 is 100% a different design than VoiceLive.

In designing VoiceLive 2 and other products we do a combination of real-world testing, multi-unit stress testing as well as testing of

every single unit manufactured on the line helps us keep a product in top shape throughout its life.

  • Hi Joey,

it seems this is all-in-one machine.

So does VoiceLive 2 contain all the features of VoiceTone Create, Correct and Double?

Or do these processors have something extra that VoiceLive 2 isn´t capable of?

    Peter

  • Hey Peter, Yes. We've really tried to incorporate everything a singer might want (effects, correction, doubling, 8 harmonies to experiment with). Whilst it may not have the exact same presets as say the Voice Tone Create etc, I'm sure you will find one which is close (it has alot more presets than Voice Tone Create!).

  • So basically you have ALOT more choices with the Voice Live 2 and the quality of the harmonies is a totally new technology which has made the quality of your harmonies/doubling etc even more realistic.

  • can an electric bass guitar do it?

  • Voice Live 2 requires chordal reference in order to know what to harmonise to. These chordal references can be Mp3, guitar, midi or any other audio source. However, single note bass lines don't generate chord reference (needs the 3rd and the root at least to give major or minor etc). If you played root and 3rd of the chords with your bass in say a 10th voicing, this could work. Best thing to do is go and try one at your music shop when it's in stock.

  • Another way you could do this with just bass guitar is to run the Voice Live 2 in manual mode (if your song is in one particular diatonic scale this is quite straight forward) or program the steps (chords) of your song. This wouldn't rely on any external chordal input and you would manually step through your chord changes as required live.

Hope this helps! If not, please send me a message anytime,

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC Helicon

  • I will just have to buy both then :)

  • Does Voice Live2 contain any of the same features as VoiceTone Synth or am I better off getting both?

  • Voice tone synth is a new product for us and as such we haven't incorporated this feature set in Voice Live 2.

If you want to use this kind of effect live, there is currently nothing else on the market that does this (unless you use software and a laptop).

Hope that helps, if not contct me anytime,

    Joey

  • I've already purchased a VoiceLive2 at Sam Ash and am waiting for it to arrive. Do you know the release date for the producr?

  • It should be in shops by the end of May.

  • Does VoiceLive2 recognize guitar chords or do I need to purchase the VoiceTone Harmony-G as well?

  • Yes, you can plug guitar, midi or even an mp3 and the Voice Live2 will automatically know which one you have plugged in and harmonise to your chosen instrument/mp3. Hope that answers your question? Feel free to contact me anytime:). Joey @ TC Helicon

  • Ahhhh, I should also mention that while the Harmony G has 2 harmony lines to play around with ... the Voice live 2 has up to 8 at any one time (of course you don't have to use 8, but it's great to have the option!).

  • Where can i get one those cool tc-helicon shirts??

  • List $945.00, street $799.00.

Sounds much easier to use. I'll bet anyone who has purchased a new VoiceLive recently is rather miffed. I keep up with new products, and had no idea this was coming out. Luckily, I got my VoiceLive (demo) for $300, and Harmony Control Guitar for $125. Good deal, worth every cent, and I'm used to it. Too bad TC doesn't mark down discontinued models before introducing new model, to give poor musicians a break. (Sweetwater has VoiceLive "on sale" $599.97)

  • 250 presets..sounds fabulous but what are they and what do they sound like.? We can't just buy talk! A demo vid would go a long way in selling this little beauty.Come on TC show us something !

  • I had a gut feeling TC-Helicon was going to release an all-in-one pedal board such as this one. I was a fraction away from buying the Harmony G and now I can put my hard earn gig money towards this little beauty...can't wait

  • The first one came out @ more than $700 bucks.

You gotta make it more affordable!

    (think like Henry Ford)

  • if we plug this on an (heavily distorted and tuned dropped down to c) electric guitar would it still work?and if you use the "voice effects" would the effects be applied to the guitar's sound as well?

  • There is a guitar in and thru. So for your setup, you'd plug into VoiceLive 2 with your guitar, then connect the through to your pedals and effects for electric guitar. This will work fine, and no problem with the dropped down tuning. The vocal effects are not applied to the guitar. There is dedicated guitar fx - but these are intended for acoustic guitar players who are not using the thru.

  • thanks...youve been very helpful!this is really a great pedal for vocalist!!!hands down

  • its missing one thing...a lower price tag than the previous model :0)

if the iphone went down to $299, why cant this...?

  • ciekawe ile kosztuje

  • You can give a comparison between the functions and Voice Live Voice Live 2.

It is important for a purchase, because I am just to acquire one.

I'm from Peru and traveled to U.S. in March 2009.

  • in terms of harmony quality, is there any difference comparing to harmony G or is it exactly the same technology ?

  • There is a new harmony engine in VoiceLive 2 called NaturalPlay. That gives improvements to the quality of the harmony voices as well as enhancements to how it tracks guitar, MIDI or MP3 input for controlling the harmony voices.

  • Is ther a big difference in sound with the previous Voicelive if you use only 4 voices?

  • The main difference you'll hear with the harmonies is if you do extreme singing like metal, scream, etc. But even for any user there is improvements to smoothness and dirtier vocal sounds. Also - now you get 8 voices so you can double any harmony voices for thick, layered type sounds
