Are we to accept the " common ground" philosophy with the heterodox, or stress the richness in Orthodox Theology? On one hand we make the statement that the Orthodox Church is the True Faith. On the other hand, we compromise the traditions, water things down, and persist in dialogue with the heterodox.The Traditions of the Church and the examples of the Holy Fathers teach us that the Church holds no dialogue with those who have separated themselves from Orthodoxy.

@vasilyjc1955 It is a shame that certain Orthodox continue to blindly pursue dialogue with the Catholic Church, delusional in their thinking that something positive will take place. These dialogues with the Catholic Church have been pursued for many years with absolutely no results. Can one seriously think that the Vatican will change? Why be indifferent to this political ecumenism and persistently avoid these truths?

@vasilyjc1955 The Eastern Orthodox Churches need to get together to solve our own problems, such as the jurisdictional dilemma. Union with all the Orthodox Churches should come first, so that peace and love will exist among the Eastern Orthodox Churches. Then let's contemplate union with the other confessions, and only if they sincerely desire to embrace Orthodox Dogmas and Traditions.

At least a true Christian knows that the true Church of Christ has been established by our Lord on the rock "Petrus" (Mt 16.18).

So why do the orthodox follow the self-made rock "patriarch"? Is this really descended from the true will of Christ?

Umkehr, The "Petros" that Christ was talking about was the Rock of faith that Christ is the Son of God. This is what the Church is founded on, not only Peter himself (at least this is the general view by most early Fathers of the Church and the view of the orthodox for 2000 years). Also, ponder this for a while: Peter, as well as other Apostles, founded the see of Antioch and Rome. So if the Catholic Peter theory is correct, Antioch and Rome should have Papal infalibility. Nonsense.
