You'll have to post what you think of it here in a few months. Hope you use and "abuse" yours as much as I have mine! :-)In my local club, everyone always asks to borrow mine and someone elses VX 7R while we are there.......
If you just watch the video and listen you will see the box and here him say...and I quote "Power Adapter"..I can even read you the code on the side of the box "NC-72B" which you could have just typed into google and within seconds got a answer but hey why do that If you can wait a day or two and get an amazing reply like this from me hey ...does this answer your question?
Yes it does come with a charger. One draw back to the one that comes with it, if radio is completely drained, takes ~6 hrs to charge. But for not a whole lot of money, you can get a "cradle" that does a rapid charge. Never timed it, but guess ~1.5 to 2 hrs. I got that and a cigarette lighter charger. (can use the radio when plugged into cigarette lighter, can't while plugged into the wall outlets).
Small radio but gets wacked with intermod. Unusable in high RF areas. Audio difficult to hear in noisy areas as well. Not worth $300. dollars in my opinion. The Yaesu FT-60 is a much better radio at almost half the price...
You can see my post below, but I think you get more for your money for the bands and features the VX-7R offers compared to the others I looked at. Had mine now for almost 4months. It has been everywhere with me from ATVing, fishing, to on the road. Has taken a beating, and only way you can see the dings is to look up close. 73's
So, do you still have the Yaesu VX-7R? If so, do you like it or not? How does it compare to other HT's you owned or used? I am lookng at getting it or something like the ICOM IC-92A. Thanks for letting us see "what's in the box"! I passed my Tech exam on Sunday and won an ICOM IC-V82 for getting 100% on the test.
I do like my radio. I do have one and have kept it. I did replace the stock antenna with another though. Would I recommend it?...Well, it depends. I use it a lot as a scanner since most of the activity in my area is on 2M only. However if you have 2meter and 440 activity in your area I would defiantly recommend it.
I just got my Tech license in Feb. I got the VX-7R on the recommendations of several of the instructors. I love it! While it was charging, read the highlights of the manual, and in about 30" after it was charged, had the screen looking the way I wanted and had all the local repeaters stored, scanning, and was on the "air". 73's
Very nice video! Thanks for sharing, and ignore the hypocrites who commented on you 'kerchunking' the repeater without ID'ing. I'm sure they're guilty of doing that at one time or another in their lives.

This is a very boring video.
What was the purpose of this video? Just to see you open the box? How come your "old" radio looks just like your new one? Do you have 2 VX-7R's? And yes, you should have ID'ed! I thought "Lidsville" was just a TV show until I saw this video!
Was the background noise the sound of the squelch from the radio :D

I love this review. I actually own a Yaesu VX-6 which is great. I am now seriously considering purchasing the VX-7R.
Awesome review! Thanks again.

Howdy. I'm not sure the purpose of this unedited video footage. I was waiting for some information--any information on the radio.
Hm. Well, best of luck and 73, um, you.
