Not really. Boards are like motorcycles and skis are like sports cars....you got it backward. Skis have a faster top speed and handle corners faster, boards turn easily, require more balance and at slower speeds can be turned on a dime...you also move more like on a bike...Skis are also more versatile.

then you should know a little more about physics....skis are faster and more versatile than boards. If you don't like skis, you are a tool who doesn't rip as hard as he could. I ride both, and skiing rocks my world on open faced triple blacks, boards are sweet on the biggest of powder dumps in the trees and rippin big fat powder bowls. Long trips in the backcountry..all skis, quick hits and drops...board. Learn to ride, then come back and talk trash, cause you don't rip as hard as me.
