  • was this game at dodger stadium? looks like it

  • watching this video and reminding myself of Game 6 of the World Series last year...I wish the Rangers had Darvish at the time. Oh well at least they have him now. GO RANGERS!

  • yes, welcome to t....exas

  • YES !! Welcome to toronto !!!

  • @guanaco103 - Yu were saying? Go Rangers!

  • ARod and AGonzo will have nightmares with that breaking ball

  • Darvish Romero Morrow Alvarez looks nice

  • @headfakez helllyyyeaaaaa

  • @headfakez Congrats on landing Darvish. Bluejays fans will be satisfied with him, I'm sure.

  • @mnomoto1989 cant believe what you hear on the internet or tv until you see the guy put on the uniform an im sure ranger fans will be satisfied with im

  • @mnomoto1989 you mean rangers dumbass retard

  • @ismokeot420420 Congrats, you replied to a comment I made a month ago, before any of us knew where he'd end up, you fucking dumb fuck.

  • @mnomoto1989 haha thanks for making me feel better by calling me names back thereby showing your lack of mental toughness my womanly bitch shit

  • @ismokeot420420 You called me a 'dumbass retard' first, you fucking idiot. I guess all that pot is killing your brain cells.

  • @mnomoto1989 Ya know, you think you're quiet erudite and educated by making a cynical yet uneducated remark to someone who was a degree because i smoked pot in college and didnt drink n piss away my education like my TOOL College buddies who were portrayed to think BEER is the absolute because (in lamest terms) Uncle Daddy Sam said weed is bad..Let me know if you get my Analogy, smart one eh?

  • @ismokeot420420 I, too, have a college degree, idiot. I never said smoking pot had any bearing on one's academic endeavors. Rather, I'm saying it's affecting your rational thinking and emotions. Hence, the way you act like a bitch, even when my response to you was merely retaliation. You started calling me names FIRST. Then, you get all offended when I simply dish it back. If you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen.

  • The slider at 2:19 is one of the nastiest things I've ever seen.

  • @okelki73 It's a slurve, not a slider.

  • This definitely brings back fond memories but you can't fully understand how good Darvish is from this clip. He was great in 2009 as a 23 yr old but now he's entering into his prime at 25 and he has the stuff to be a front end starter on any staff. This guy paints corners at 95, has a ridiculous slider (as you can see in the video), and he has an incredible forkball as well. If he comes over, might as well engrave his name on the rookie of the year trophy

  • I think I have a man-crush on him since he's so good...

  • 這種可怕的變化球我們台灣怎麼打的到.....

  • He certainly has the potential to be an ace quality pitcher, but no one in their right mind should call him "the best pitcher in the world". Especially when he's spent his entire career pitching to anemic Japanese lineups.

  • AMERICA!! We're number 1!!

  • Not sure what makes him so good? He has one plus pitch that he relies on often and it's that slider he is throwing.

  • @dmachovi that 'one slider' has been pwning almost every batter in japan for a few years..i know japanese batters arent as good as american batters but its till pretty impressive

  • @KoreanBoy9713 Seeing that you're Korean, I really appreciate you complimenting Darvish. I've met many Koreans who've, for reasons that aren't clear to me, slandered and condemned Darvish, refusing to admit that he has skills.

  • @mnomoto1989 i dont like it when people use race as an excuse to slander other people. i hve a strong dislike towards the japanese government (and japanese netizens who slander koreans for no reason) but i hve nothing against people like darvish. from what i saw, he is extremely hard working, skilled, and has a lot of potential. theres no reason to slander people like him, and those who do are either just jealous or completely stupid

  • @dmachovi He can spot 7 different pitches and throws 95-96............

  • kei igawa <3

  • The Yankees sent me....... pass he'll get eaten alive in the MLB

  • wow! nice slurves like that first one

  • It's a slurve people, and the movement on it is quite impressive.

  • I think a lot of their success has to do with the fact that we don't know much about their stuff,If he comes to MLB it's a matter of timing,He'll get lit up,by the way Jeter looked like a fucking little leager in the 06 classic.

  • best pitcher in the world? who has he faced? he is no where near roy halladay cc sabathia tim lincecum or felix hernandez. until he proves he can do it against major league teams for a full season i will prefer to have a staff made up of vance worley jeremy hellickson ra dickey randy wolf and tim wakefield over a rotation of 5 darvishs.

  • @ryanD206 i aint saying he is as good as your 1st pitching squad darish is way better than wolf and wakefield i personally think he is a much better pitcher than those guys i bet if he comes to mlb he will have winning record and mid 3 era and good strikeouts.

  • @Pandabearmadness there are people on here tauting him as the best in the world which is an absurd statemant. What your saying is extremly different and mid 3 good strikeouts and winning record is certainly possible after 3 years (one year is to small a sample to judge a player usually)

  • I love this video. Unlikely pick for the song, but fits really well.

  • He has a good looking slider, would sure fool some of the top bats in the Majors.!

  • Daisuke was way overhyped. Darvish has some filthy stuff and seems to be the real deal. if he gets worked with in the US by his pitching coaches theres no way with his potential and talent he will end up like Matsuzaka.

  • Slider and Curveball have sick movement. Doesn't particularly throw good strikes but can probably get away with them because of his stuff

  • Sometimes it looks like Yu Darvish is throwing a wiffle ball Because he has so much movement on his pitches

  • お前は糞チョンか?

  • next daisuke? i hope not...

if he keeps working hard, he'll be one the best pitchers...the thing about pitchers like halladay is that theyre gifted and extremely competitive

the bs about bidding ridiculous amounts of money just to talk to foreing players (like daisuke) ruins their psyche imo...they are given superstar status without proving anything...

  • @lee2422 That money goes to their team, a fee for taking their best player.

  • Darvish is a good pitcher. Surely,Halladay,Lee,Lincecum are nice pitcher. But He didn't show capability at WBC.He threw onlly fastball and slider at this time. Probably you may not judge it from this movie.

  • @sutonasutonasan

Darvish is definitely a good pitcher...but he has only faced Japanese competition...that is why the MLB is still the true test of pitching prowess...because it combines the best players from North America, South America, and hopefully more players from Asia in the future.

  • @deadhardy "has only faced Japanese competition" LOL. Apparently you didn't watch WBC '09 where he faced Cuba and USA. Please do research before you make ignorant comments.

  • @ShimaUta86

you are an idiot. small sample size isnt indicative of anything....even casual baseball fans know that the first few matchups between a pitcher and hitter give advantage to the hitter. If Darvish played full seasons in the MLB he would probably fare pretty well at first. But, history has shown that most Japanese players do not enjoy the same success in the MLB that they did in the Japanese league. There are exceptions to the rule of course...

  • @deadhardy meant to say give advantage to the pitcher

  • @deadhardy You truly are ignorant! You're probably the type of person the cries everytime USA loses.

  • @ShimaUta86

not true...i love how japanese baseball stresses fundamentals and how japanese players conduct themselves. I'm just stating truth...that the Japanese league is like AAAA in comparison to MLB. Only the best Japan has to offer has even a chance to survive the major leagues (you can name the number of successful Japanese MLB players on 2 hands). It's only natural because the US is a much larger country with a bigger talent pool which consists of home grown and latin players.

  • I watched this entire final. Hell of a game.

  • Youtube takes forever to fucking load lately!!

  • 2:10-2:11 Wow O_O

  • darvish yu is hot.

  • When i go to japan i hope to see him play at his team.

  • First and last pitches of the video: same pitch, same location, same batter, same swing, same result. WOW this guy's stuff is plain NASTY.

  • to pgoody agree...

  • 0:20 and 2:18

    WTF!!!

    This guy is insane...

  • Love that final reaction, that was some Dragonball Z stuff he was flinging...

  • @larmadillo

    The Dreadnoughts/Antarctica

  • that last pitch was nasty. the hitter was totally fooled

  • at 2:18 thats the nastiest slider i have seen from anyone

  • his ball is dirty....

i wish i see him in mlb

  • this guy has one of the nastiest sliders ive ever seen

  • Does anyone know what music it is? Thanx

btw Yu Darvish is awesome, cant wait to see him in the Majors

  • The Dreadnoughts/Antarctica its in the video description..

  • persian+Japanese what a deadly combination XD

    go Yuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • Holy trinity of MLB's future: Yu Darvish, Stephen Strasburg, Ardolis Chapman.

  • @mikeg1992: Cross out Yu and put Felix Hernandez. Yu won't be over here soon enough.

  • 2:39

    "Back home to YUUUUU"

  • That is NOT A CUTTER. A cutter is a variation of a fastball usually low 90's ala Mariano Rivera.

    That is DEFINITELY a SLIDER.

  • Yu Darvish is probably the best pitcher in the world as of right now.

He's young and has so so much potential. If he comes to the MLB and adjusts well, Darvish will dominate it.

As an American myself, I wish to see this pitcher in the MLB.

  • You're going to have to wait another year, he just resigned with the Ham Fighters for $3.3 million.

  • @iBlue69 he's not planning to come to the american league, he's way more popular in japan and usually minority players in US don't get much attention.

  • @bananapantie3000 pujols, ramirez, ortiz? theyre minority players.

  • @iBlue69 best pitcher in the world is stretching it, man. He doesn't have to face the cream of the world every start (pujols, hanley ramirez, ryan zimmerman, a-rod etc. etc.

  • @iBlue69 he wont last long, his arm action isnt good and adds stress to the elbow in shoulder.

  • @iBlue69 This is so stupid. Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, Felix Hernandez, Tim Lincecum, Roy Oswalt...there are SO many more better pitchers.

This guy goes up against AAA competition level. Of course he is good and has great potential to get better, but to say he is anywhere near the best in the world is beyond stupid.

  • @ksx1988 i am pretty sure roy oswalt got wrecked by the so-called AAA competition level in the wbc 2009. hmmmm.....

  • @iBlue69 hes nowhere near the best such as halladay, rivera etc

  • @U2B8 Yes, he is

  • @iBlue69

    best pitcher in teh world?....no

  • @iBlue69 well said

  • @iBlue69

    AHAHAHA

You honestly think this guy is better than Halladay, Lincecum, Kershaw and Verlander??? LMFAO

  • @iBlue69

Against American hitters, with a smaller strikeout and bigger ball, he'll get shat on.

  • @iBlue69 He asked his team to post him to be signed in the MLB.

  • @iBlue69 looks like you might get your wish in 2012. i live in the tri state area so i would like to see him pitch for the yankees so i could watch a lot of his games.

  • Wow i never realized, but Darvish's Slider is FUCKING GANGSTER.

  • thats his cutter, which is even more impressive

  • You're shittin me......if thats his Cutter... O_O shit is crazy.

  • patentleatherones is right

he's not coming to the U.S. with all the fame and family that he has

american league would probably offer him much more money than he's earning,

but believe me he has plenty of that at the age of 21. He won't be as famous is US as he is in Japan and money isn't everything in life.

  • He's 23

  • he is definitely going to come to the US, but now its too soon.... maybe in a couple years and i am sure he will be one of the best pitchers in mlb

  • the world's best slider

  • them are some NASTY NASTY pitches!!!

  • if Ichiro, Matsuzaka, Darvish, godzilla got into a royal rumble who would win?

  • Ichiro ofc

  • yu is a badass hombre,

  • He's gonna be a future Atlanta Brave.

  • i am so proud of this iranian guy Mr Yu Darvish :=) .

  • iranian + japanese :)

  • I think this guy isn't going to the states ever. He has a wife and a kid and a all the fame he could want at 21.

  • 2:34 it looked like he ripped his pants

  • ....indeed he did o.O

  • crazy ass slider

  • he already said that he will not play in major league even Yankees

  • He is still young. There's no reason for him not to dominate in the Japanese league for 4 or 5 more years and then go to MLB to test himself. By that time, there will be a new wave of young Japanese pitchers to take his place anyway.

Ichiro played a good 8 seasons in Japan before going to America so he did his part for Japanese baseball.

  • great pitcher!!!

  • my favorite pitcher

  • handsome guy.....

    best pitcher for me...

    plays well, pitch stike amazingly....

a mighty handsome beast in baseball.....

    love this guy....

  • Yu Darvish is beastly. I first saw him in the Japan-USA game the day before, and I thought to myself "Holy Crap, he looks freaking awesome"

Also, the roar of the beast he did when he threw the final strike was cool as well.

  • Nice

  • ゆうくん おめでとう

  • 日本代表おめでとう!!!!
