I was hospitalized on a psych ward and it started a journey battling mental illness for over 20 years. In the winter of 2001, I had had all I could take and called on the name of Jesus as I never had before. I found my voice and sang. He was my only hope, but he was faithful, and the only place I could have placed my faith and kept living. Thank God Almighty that praising the name of Jesus, singing in the face of the devil, focused on the Lord, brings us into his presence. Thanks be to God.
This jus never gets old...a testimony should never be allowed to grow stale. Today I was at my church after service and was there listening to music and praying on the altar. I was reminded instantly of being in a prison cell in North Cali (Mule Creek State Prison), and feeling alone, forsaken. I was praying alone in my cell and I felt as though Jesus got on His knees next to me and put an arm around me to let me know I was never alone because He was with me. I Pastor now, He's still here!!

In 1994 I was in college and got the call that my mom had been diagnosed with advanced head and neck cancer so I left school to care for her. God blessed her to live 7 yrs after that and in 2001 she went home to be with the Lord and I didn't think I'd survive the loss. My life isn't perfect but I know God has never left me or forsaken me.

He kept me...even when I was young and foolish. And now I can say, that I have had laughter and heartbreak, but through it all, the Lord has been my peace. Just going through life in a fast pace and something let you slow down and you get the chance to reflect on your life just the love of god made you stronger and better. I know someone out there is hurting, someone out there is sick i just want you to go down on your knee and ask the lord for what you want and let him do the rest!

after all i been thur losing my two parents in 1yrs time then losing my granny in 2009 of jan .i was just about to give up but i had god on my side. then in may of yhe same year i lost my granny my son was killed. i lost my mind and after all i prayed and still praying im making it by the grace of GOD.

I never would have made it without the Lord by my side. I didn't deserve to make it. Justice would have been served if I had not. I am so glad for the Lord's grace and mercy over my life. He kept me...even when I was young and foolish. And now I can say, that I have had laughter and heartbreak, but through it all, the Lord has been my peace. I am so grateful for the presence of Christ in my life. All I want to do now is follow Him and live a life pleasing to him.

God is good! I never felt like God was speaking to me and I felt like my life was going downhill! I had thought I had no reason to live and was having marital problems and feeling down on myself when God showed me this song. I heard it a couple years ago but I hated it whenever I heard it!! I was like, why is everyone singing it!!

Been through so much in my life and I didn't know how I was going to make it, but I made it and I know now how.
