  • I do not know how i got here lol . but still a good video that i could not leave without watching it. in fact i subscribed that's why i love you tube hahaha.

  • closer with the camera man dont need to see the mats

  • Man I'm lovin these vids ..... I have been training in the Bas Rutten style of mma for almost 5 months now and your techniques and way of explaining them really translate well to what im learning. I'm hoping to use what i have learned in class and your vids to dominate my opponents at my first subleague tourney coming up .........thanks man and keep the vids coming !!!

  • Thanks this helped me a lot with my rubber guard

  • Don't know who the hell you are, but you make excellent videos. I use them for refreshers before I go training. Superb demo's and articulation of the techniques. Thanks

  • @teknikmao Thanks for the kind words!

  • This was great help for a n0eb like me! I was getting dominated from the guard position today in training! (really, I get dominated all the time....)

  • Where is your school located?

  • Could you demonstrate your version of stopping the "bad guy" from standing up and slamming you when you have them in a triangle, omoplata, or armbar? Basically anything the requires you to ride the guard up to his upper body or neck. How do you break their posture?

  • Do you have a gi version of this?

  • what can i do if the guy in my guard is smothering me. cause i cant find a way to move around and submit him

  • very nice vid as usualy.

  • This is exactly what I needed for wanting to play with mission control and guard submissions....thanks so much!

  • Great video! Helped me a lot!

  • look to use the teepee on big guys its a bravo move. much easier then the triangle

  • Very detailed and described well, keep it the great videos

  • Any chance you can do something about escaping form the "Shoulder of justice" position?

There is one BIG guy who stalls there on me all the time and he keeps giving me a face rash with his shoulder :D

  • I'm not sure what the "Shoulder of justice" position is. A lot of times the names that coaches give techniques and positions is very different from what the rest of the grappling community uses, please elaborate.

  • Wow Quick response. I'm not sure what some people call it. Iv'e heard John Kavanagh of Streight Blast Gym Ireland call it the "Shoulder of Justice". Its basically the use of the shoulder from on top in half guard to keep your opponents head and upper body pinned. I'm finding it really frustration. I cant seem to find any video of it. I'm guessing there's another name for it too. But Ill be damned if I know what it is :D

  • @TechniquePrevails shoulder of justice is where they grab under your armpit from side control and force there shoulder into your jaw

  • I like the way this guy explains techniques. The explanations are detailed and clear, and they clear up the ambiguity that may possibly arise.

  • Thank you! I hope you'll check out the site as well!

  • great video i just cant sem to get triangle any tips

  • thanks

  • Great one guys !!! This is EXACTLY what I was looking for, my oponents/training partners are all really advanced fighters and I have serious trouble breaking down their posture in guard,

  • It would be great to see some vid how to fight a big guy, what I mean. if you can`t physical do a triangle or something like that cause he is too big :D I have a reason y I'`m asking and the reason is Brock Lesnar =]

  • If you are having difficulty doing a triangle towards a larger opponent:

    >make sure he is broken down using the above video.

    >try using rubber guard to set up the triangle

    >if you can get the triangle position in, but cant finish, try angling away from the arm ( you should be looking at his ear) that is trapped for a tighter squeeze.

    >maybe the technique isn't appropriate or you are not proficient in it enough for this particular opponent in which case adapt...

check out his vid on the triangle

  • first

  • maybe show a video on how to get ur wrists free from a bottom position, i alays get locked where i have them in like a triangle and they have my wrists and we cnt do shit

  • If he's just posting your wrists then rotate your hands toward his thumbs. Always the weakest point of the hand.

  • thx for this, this knowledge will help during sparring

  • wrist rolls, and sliding with hip movements help nicely. (Use gravity against 'em) if they posture up, go back to the twist, or cross their arms over

  • Nice description, Shinka. Thanks.
