Thanks everyone! Bleu is a wonderful bird! I purchased him at a specialty bird store when he was just a tiny baby. I hand fed him until he could eat on his own, that is why he is very attached to me. I think I paid 250.00 for him a few years ago. Thanks again from Gina & Bleu!

Wow he is gorgeous! I always thought you couldn't train them to talk when they have other birds around them? Hours and hours of entertainment for the whole household :) I am so jealous (we have 3 cats so no pet birds allowed).

omg he is to handsome! I just purchased my first two weeks ago. I am also handfeeding him as I have most my others. I have noticed he is quite different from my other parrots! very human like...wants to be out of his cage all the time and held and played with. i am very attached already! i have also an inr in blue...but my is so shy and afraid... eaven when i go a bit near to her/his Cage he feel so afraid... we bought it 2 month ago...he is in our living room...he/she can see us around the day...nothing works...tryed with some treats..her/his fav food...but its still shy and afraid from us... and its also now near 7-8 month old ..do u have any tipps for me..

What a pretty boy you have... I just got a 5 week blue ringneck given to me by my brother who breeds them. I am feeding him on formula at the moment, and when i talk to him he makes noises....so when will he start talking, do i just say things over and over.. His name is Andy and his best friend is Jimmy a 6 month old masked blue lovebird..jimmy adores Andy and they love to give eachother a scratch...again u did well with your great bird

Thank you all! Bleu started talking around 6- 8 months old. He is a wonderful, loving and very smart bird! I think I paid 250.00 for him and bought him as a baby. I also hand fed him baby formula, so we bonded very well. He repeats everything I say and also laughs just like me! LOL I do have other birds as well but Beu is my Fav!!! Thanks again for all the nice comments!:)

@HEAVNLYDARKNESS Just time and earning her trust. I would keep her in a room where she can see you all the time and just talk to her as much as possible. Eventually she will get use to you. Maybe offer her some treats also.

Bleu is a wonderful and very smart bird. He expands his vocabulary daily. I think he started talking at 6 months, but really well at about a year. There is no guarentee that your bird will talk, they only talk when THEY want to!! LOL He was around 2 yrs old wen he finally got his ring around his neck as this is when they reach maturity. If you handle your bird daily, bond with him, and he is happy he should talk for you real soon! :)
