i have an honest question - why should i learn vedic mathematics now when we all have calculators? I believe this method would have been very useful before calculators were invented. Shouldn't I focus on the application of mathematics by using tools such as computers and calculators rather than learning a way to add, subtract, multiply, etc. big numbers? Thanks.

Yes, you may opt for using tools like calculators or computers. But then, you would be neglecting the main tool, I mean the human brain, which made those tools. Do you remember your closest friend's phone number? No, because that's saved in your cell. And if your cell goes kaput, you're helpless. It's not about ancient days, it takes only one tsunami to take you back to those days. You cannot stop strengthening your body muscles just because you have a gun. Do you? :)

This is so wonderful i wish i was taught this way from the beginning. I plan to learn more about it and to pass on to others who never got the grasped of math.
