Were you shooting at the little fish inside? A common mistake for many players is that they'll shoot at the main body. But you're actually supposed to shoot at the little red part of the fish.

Yah! I've actually escaped the thing that swallows you once. Thanks for the tip, Xcat on how to do that again. The part where you have to shoot like crazy to get free is soooo hard. I've only escaped once without taking damage. All your videos make me want to play Corruption again! Recently I've been into Echoes and I haven't finished the game yet, but once I do I will rent this game again or I might actually buy it. Long live Metroid!!!
