Also look at the reason why the bill was ignored coming back from the House of Lords. They are often on the peoples side but cannot do anything to stop The House of Commons (Executive PM and MPs) from doing what they want. The Parliamentary Acts 1911 and 1949 restrict the House of Lords from refusing bills that the people desperately don't want, or that need amending in the peoples interest. The House of Lords are near powerless to the executive. Reform of Parliamentary Acts should be priority
Then why don't you stop the rich creaming off the top, lower taxes (so people can afford to go to work) lower profits (capitalism could be good if not for greedy bastards) this is going to be another catastrophe that will cost millions of tax payers money.... forcing families out of housing... yes there are those who need a boot up the backside, but there is going to be a whole load of damage to people who simply cannot find work because of the cost of living and lack of jobs.
@gypsytsar84 (PM) "You're damn right I am because i'm older than you therefore I know then "SHITHEAD" TORIES better than you do - Geddit!!!"
If you are going to talk to me in this manner, don't be a coward and do so in public where the original comments are made.
I don't particular care what the Tories did well over a decade ago, it may be relevant to your generation but not the current one. The fact of the matter is; is this is Labours mess. Pulling the age card doesn't change that.
@gypsytsar84 The last UK election where the Tories got into government was may 2010. You're seriously placing the blame for the UK's problems on a government that has only been in power since 2010, while Labour was in power for 13 years prior?
@gypsytsar84 Oh really? the Tories have left the country richer, stronger and more aware. Thatcher and Major's years are more relevant than anything they left the best state we were in for 50 years, unemployment falling, markets rising, lots of people with shares and inflation falling too. The Tories have good so much more good than the Labour authoritarian socialist
People aren't often on benefits out of choice though IDS... and let's face it if that is the case then why isn't the incentive to work more influential? Also children do not make the choices for their parents so on this issue they are exclusive entities. Or in other words IDS your arguments are completely bullshit. Income support and JSA are tiny fractions of incomes... and many people will claim it themselves at some point in their lives.
